The confirmed Pokémon GO Zapdos Raid Hour in the available official schedule took place on July 6, 2026, and has passed. No later Zapdos Raid Hour is established here. Check the in-game News tab or official Pokémon GO channels for a future date and featured boss. If Zapdos returns, Rock- and Ice-type attacks target its listed weaknesses; how many players you need depends on team strength and bonuses.
What is a Raid Hour?
Niantic defines Raid Hour as “an hour-long global event during which one particular Pokémon or a group of Pokémon appears more frequently in Raids.” The featured Pokémon and timing vary by event, and a Raid Hour may feature Legendary or Mythical bosses, rare Pokémon, or Pokémon with exclusive moves. Niantic recommends checking the in-game News tab or official social channels for upcoming Raid Hours: What is a Raid Hour?

When was Zapdos Raid Hour, and what time is the next one?
The official Road of Legends event ran July 6–10, 2026, local time. Zapdos was in the five-star raid roster for Monday, July 6. That day’s Raid Hour ran from 6–8 p.m. local time, a two-hour exception to the event’s usual 6–7 p.m. window for five-star raids. These are historical dates, not a current or upcoming schedule.
No post-October 8, 2026 Zapdos Raid Hour is established here, so the answer to “What time is today’s Raid Hour?” and “What Pokémon is featured in today’s Raid Hour?” depends on the live event calendar. Check in-game news or official Pokémon GO channels rather than relying on the July schedule. A separate seasonal page described a Wednesday 6–7 p.m. local Raid Hour pattern during Memories in Motion, which ran March 3–June 2, 2026; that past pattern is not a guarantee for later seasons: Memories in Motion.

How should you prepare for Zapdos?
Zapdos is an Electric/Flying-type Pokémon. Pokémon GO Hub’s raid guide, last updated July 1, 2026, lists Rock and Ice as its weaknesses and gives the Tier 5 boss a CP of 46,418. That CP is the guide’s figure, not an independently verified in-game observation. Its counter examples are dated and should not be treated as a current ranking: Zapdos Raid Guide.
Choose Rock or Ice attackers
Build around the counters available in your roster. The July guide names these examples:

- Spin PokéStops or throw Poké Balls automatically in Pokémon GO for hands-free gameplay (and Great Balls and Ultra Balls can be thrown too!)
- Ice: White Kyurem with Ice Fang and Ice Burn; Black Kyurem with Dragon Tail and Freeze Shock; Shadow Mamoswine with Powder Snow and Avalanche.
- Rock: Shadow Rhyperior with Smack Down and Rock Wrecker; Mega Diancie with Rock Throw and Rock Slide.
These are examples, not a definitive present-day best-team list. Your Pokémon’s level, moves, weather, friendship bonuses, availability, and game updates can change their performance.
Set up your raid party and connection
Niantic’s general raid preparation advice is to make sure your device detects the correct time zone, enable high GPS accuracy, and use a stable internet connection. Spin a Gym Photo Disc for the daily free Raid Pass, coordinate with friends for difficult bosses, and prepare a Battle Party with super-effective attacks and resistance to the boss’s moves. See Niantic’s Raid Hour guidance.

How many people do you need to beat Zapdos?
There is no universal player minimum: roster strength and Zapdos’s moves matter. Pokémon GO Hub’s July 2026 guide calls a group of four or more a realistic safe bet. Experienced players may attempt a duo with strong counters and advantages such as friendship bonuses, favorable weather, Party Play, or Mega Pokémon, but that is a more demanding approach—not a guaranteed result. When uncertain, invite a larger group and use your strongest Rock- or Ice-type attackers.
