In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the most predictable way to get many evolution items is to buy them at Jubilife Village’s Trading Post with Merit Points. You can also find some through ore deposits, Space-Time Distortions, Ginter’s changing stock, and Ursaluna’s digging—but those routes are item-specific or chance-based. This guide covers Hisui’s item-based evolutions, not every evolution method in the game.
Where to buy evolution items in Jubilife Village
The Trading Post is the clearest way to target many evolution items: choose the item you need and pay Merit Points. You earn Merit Points by recovering lost satchels. Nintendo Life’s guide, published 8 February 2022, lists these prices; treat them as that guide’s published price list rather than newly verified live data.

Other ways to find evolution items
Field acquisition can save Merit Points, but it is less predictable. A route that works for one item should not be assumed to work for every stone or evolution item.
#1 Best Overall
- Action meets RPG in this new take on the Pokémon series
- Study Pokémon behaviors, sneak up on them, and toss a well-aimed Poké Ball to catch them
- Unleash moves in the speedy agile style or the powerful strong style in battles
- Travel to the Hisui region—the Sinnoh of old—and build the region’s first Pokédex
- Learn about the Mythical Pokémon Arceus, the key to this mysterious tale
- Ore deposits: Some stones can rarely appear when Pokémon collect ore. Game8 also lists Black Augurite and Peat Block from shaking ores. Check an item-specific entry before relying on a particular ore type for a particular item.
- Space-Time Distortions: Evolution items can appear as ground pickups alongside other items. This is a chance-based exploration route; the items and their rarity vary. Serebii’s Space-Time Distortion guide provides item and location information.
- Ginter’s offers: The merchant in Jubilife Village sometimes offers evolution stones or items for money, but his stock changes. Game8 says new specials appear after catching 20 Pokémon, so this is not a reliable way to target a specific item.
- Ursaluna digging: Ursaluna can dig up a limited selection: Moon Stone, Sun Stone, Black Augurite, and Peat Block. It is not a general source for every evolution item.
Game8 summarizes the item-specific acquisition routes in its evolution items guide. The sources do not establish exact odds for these chance-based methods.
Which Pokémon evolve with each item?
The table focuses on the item-dependent subset of evolutions in Legends: Arceus. The linked guide pages cover the wider item list and evolution methods; examples below show how the items work without treating item locations as a complete evolution chart.

| Leaf Stone | Eevee → Leafeon; Hisuian Voltorb → Hisuian Electrode | Listed at 1,000 Merit Points by Nintendo Life (2022); some stones may also be rare ore finds. |
| Linking Cord | Alternative to trading for certain trade-associated evolutions | Listed at 1,000 Merit Points by Nintendo Life (2022). |
| Black Augurite | Used for a Hisui-specific evolution | Game8 lists shaking ore and Ursaluna digging as routes; availability is not guaranteed. |
| Peat Block | Used for a Hisui-specific evolution | Game8 lists shaking ore and Ursaluna digging as routes; availability is not guaranteed. |
For a broader list of Pokémon and their item-based evolutions, see Game8’s evolution items page and its evolution guide. Game8’s evolution-method coverage includes level, trade, item, and move conditions, including moves used in Strong or Agile Style; not every evolution is triggered by an item.

- Need one specific item now? If it appears at the Trading Post, buying it for the listed Merit Point cost is the most explicit target route in the cited price list.
- Want to conserve Merit Points? Collect ore and explore Space-Time Distortions, but treat drops as uncertain and item-specific.
- Checking merchants or digging anyway? Review Ginter’s current offer and use Ursaluna’s digging as an additional chance to find the limited items it can uncover, not as a guaranteed plan.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a Nintendo Switch game set in Hisui, as described by the official Pokémon site. Item availability and methods here refer to that game, not other Pokémon titles.
