B1G0006 was the official Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift password for an Alpha Charizard, but it expired on January 19, 2026. It cannot be redeemed now. This guide separates that expired gift password from player-made Link Trade codes: the latter match you with another player and do not guarantee a tradeback. A complete December 2025 community code list cannot be verified from the available sources, so no unconfirmed codes are presented as working.
Which Pokémon Legends: Z-A codes can you use now?
As of October 2026, the featured December 2025 password, B1G0006, is expired. It was a time-limited official distribution, not a reusable trade code. Public Link Trade codes are different: they are community matchmaking conventions, and whether a code finds a partner depends on current player activity.
The sources available for this guide do not establish a complete historical December 2025 community trade-code table or which codes currently find matches. Treat code lists elsewhere as unverified unless their publisher provides current confirmation.
What did the B1G0006 Mystery Gift give?
The Pokémon Company’s December 2025 distribution granted a level 36 Alpha Charizard with Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Dragon Claw, and Air Slash. It ran from December 9, 2025 at 6 a.m. PST through January 19, 2026, and could be claimed once per save data. The distribution has ended. The Pokémon Company’s announcement gives the event details.

Mystery Gift passwords, internet gifts, and trade codes are different
| Type | What it does | How to get it | Availability and risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mystery Gift password | Claims an official publisher distribution, such as the expired Alpha Charizard event. | Link Play > Mystery Gift > Get with Code/Password. | Only works during its stated distribution period; the gift is not a player exchange. |
| Mystery Gift via Internet | Receives an official distribution without typing a password. | Link Play > Mystery Gift > Get via Internet. | Availability depends on the specific distribution. The December 2025 Mewtwonite X and Y gifts were distributed this way. |
| Link Trade code | Matches you with another player to exchange Pokémon. | Use Link Trade and enter the same code as your intended partner. | Community codes change in usefulness; the other player may keep the Pokémon you offer. |
Nintendo’s Mystery Gift support instructions describe the gift menu options. A password is not a Link Trade code, and a trade code does not unlock an official gift.
How to redeem a Mystery Gift in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
- Progress until you unlock the Rewards feature in Mable’s Research. Nintendo estimates Link Play becomes available after approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of play once that feature is unlocked.
- Open the X menu, select Link Play, then choose Mystery Gift.
- Select Get with Code/Password for a password distribution, or Get via Internet when the gift is offered through the internet option.
- Follow the on-screen prompts. The game saves after the gift arrives.
Mystery Gift requires an internet connection and a user profile linked to a Nintendo Account. These steps do not make an expired distribution redeemable.

Using community Link Trade codes safely
Community codes are intended to connect players for a particular exchange; they are not an official service or a guarantee that your partner will return your Pokémon. A community trade megathread credited Austin John Plays for universal codes and specifically warns against expecting tradebacks through public codes. Public-code trade sniping and mismatches have also been reported in player discussions; those reports are anecdotes, not measured rates.
- Before confirming, inspect the offered Pokémon’s summary and check its held item, especially when the trade is meant to trigger an evolution.
- Use a trusted friend or a clearly agreed private tradeback if you need your own Pokémon returned.
- Do not risk a rare, shiny, or Alpha Pokémon in a public-code trade if losing it would matter to you.
The community guidance and its warning about public tradebacks appear in the universal trade codes megathread. A separate trade-evolution code discussion includes individual reports of failed returns and mismatched codes, not evidence that every trade will fail.

Mega Dimension DLC: relevant gifts and dates
Mega Dimension is additional story content compatible with both Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Nintendo dates the additional content, including Mega Stones for Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, to December 9, 2025. See Nintendo’s Mega Dimension compatibility and content page.
The Pokémon Company’s Asia announcement gives the additional story release date as December 10, 2025, reflecting its regional announcement timing. It also says Mega Stones for Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert could be earned through Ranked Battle rewards; those Pokémon appear in Mega Dimension’s additional story content. These are historical dates and rewards, not current trade codes. The official announcement has the regional details.

Mewtwonite X and Y were internet gifts, not trade passwords
On December 2, 2025, Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y became available through Mystery Gift’s Get via Internet option. After receiving both stones, players who had completed the game’s ending could begin the Project Code: M EX Side Mission and encounter Mewtwo. The announcement describes the gifts and mission as available in both the standard and Switch 2 Edition games. This was a Mystery Gift distribution, not a typed password or Link Trade code. The Pokémon Company’s announcement explains the unlock.
Other DLC bonuses were not trade codes
The Holo-X and Holo-Y apparel items could be claimed after purchasing the DLC. An early-purchase Luxurious Poké Ball Set contained 12 Poké Balls—three each of Fast, Lure, Level, and Heavy Balls—but its offer ended February 28, 2026, and its serial codes were valid only through March 10, 2026. Those expired bonus codes are not Link Trade codes. See the official Mega Dimension DLC page.
