Pokémon Korea says the Pokémon Pokopia + Expansion Pass package will launch in South Korea on October 29, 2026, with preorders beginning October 15. It is a Nintendo Switch 2 game-key card package, not a card containing the full game: an internet connection and at least 10 GB of free storage are needed to download the software. The announcement lists a suggested retail price of ₩127,900. The dates, price, languages and bonuses below apply to the Korean listing; the announcement does not establish a worldwide release date or name participating retailers. Pokémon Korea’s announcement
What the October 29 package is
The product announced by Pokémon Korea is a South Korean Nintendo Switch 2 package titled Pokémon Pokopia + Expansion Pass. It combines the base game with the paid Expansion Pass. The Korean announcement identifies the format as a game-key card and sets the suggested retail price at ₩127,900. That is the South Korean suggested price, not a confirmed price from an individual retailer. Pokémon Korea
The October 29, 2026 date is for the South Korean announcement. It should not be read as confirmation of the same date in other territories. The announcement says preorders start in Korea on October 15, 2026, but does not identify the retailers taking orders.
Does the game-key card contain the full game?
No. Pokémon Korea says the full software downloads the first time the game is played. The package therefore does not store the complete game on the card. The Korean listing requires an internet connection and at least 10 GB of free space for initial setup; updates may require additional space. Pokémon Korea’s package details

The package announced in Korea includes both the base game and the pass; the digital pass is also sold separately for people who already own the game. Nintendo’s Expansion Pass listing

The Korean announcement lists a berry-themed furniture set as a purchase bonus and a serial code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. For the ingots, the notice says redemption is through Mystery Gifts, requires an internet connection and a linked Nintendo Account, and does not require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. Mystery Gifts becomes available after about 30 minutes of gameplay. The code is valid through September 30, 2027; the notice also says the ingots can be obtained through normal play.
