In a bulk transfer, the confirmation also shows the exact number of selected ★ 100% Pokémon. The change was announced by Niantic’s Pokémon GO team on October 8, 2026, and it is a last checkpoint, not a guarantee against mistakes.
What the new prompt does
Before a transfer goes through, the game now shows a confirmation prompt if the Pokémon being sent has maxed-out stats. The official announcement describes it this way: “Trainers will now receive a confirmation prompt before transferring any Pokémon that has maxed-out stats. This warning also displays the exact count of ★ 100% Pokémon selected during bulk transfers.” The sentence is official product wording from the game’s announcement and carries no named speaker.

The change adds a pause at the point where a transfer is final. It does not add a new transfer destination, and the announcement does not describe a setting that players must switch on.
Individual and bulk transfers
The prompt applies in both cases, but the bulk version tells you more:

- Single transfer: If the Pokémon you are sending has maxed-out stats, you get a confirmation prompt before it is transferred.
- Bulk transfer: The prompt also displays the exact count of selected ★ 100% Pokémon, so you can check the number against what you expected to send.
The announcement says the count covers selected 100% Pokémon. It does not say the prompt lists each individual Pokémon in the selection, and it does not describe how mixed selections are handled beyond that count. If you are clearing out a large box, the number is the detail to read before you confirm.
What counts as “100%” and “maxed-out”
The official feature language uses two terms: “maxed-out stats” for the warning and “★ 100% Pokémon” for the bulk count. Secondary coverage of the update, including a Shacknews report, describes maximum stats across HP, Attack, and Defense and uses “hundo,” a player term for a 100% Pokémon. “Hundo” is community vocabulary, not the game’s own label, so the in-game and official wording is the one to match when you look at the prompt.

What the update does not promise
The prompt is a final opportunity to notice a high-value Pokémon in your selection. It does not guarantee that no Pokémon will be transferred by accident, and the announcement does not say that every valuable Pokémon is protected. It also does not mention any way to undo a transfer after you confirm, so treat the prompt as the last check before the action is final.
Other changes in the same update
The transfer prompt arrived in a wider batch of changes. The same official announcement also covers Zygarde Cells being awarded on Route completion, with the probability of finding them unchanged; combined Compass and Weather icons; map spacing improvements; and changes to Community Ambassador meetup check-ins. These are separate from the transfer warning and do not change how the prompt works.

Availability and rollout
The announcement says the feature has “recently rolled out,” but it does not list the app versions, platforms, devices, or regions that receive it, and it does not say whether timing varies between players. Check the game’s update notes in your app store, and if the prompt does not appear for a 100% Pokémon you are transferring, the official Pokémon GO announcement is the source for what the feature covers.
