It fixes several bugs under certain conditions, but the major fixes for blocked quests—called “requests” in the game—arrived in earlier updates, especially Ver. 1.0.2. Here are the relevant notes by version and how to update.
What’s new in the latest Pokémon Pokopia update?
Nintendo’s North American support page lists Ver. 2.0.1, released September 7, 2026, as the latest version. Its fixes apply under certain conditions and address these issues:
- Ho-Oh and Lugia repeatedly descend and reappear.
- Pokémon cannot be found using Pokédex search.
- A relocation kit cannot be picked up.
- Sound effects play repeatedly.
- The game freezes.
- The game gets stuck on the loading screen.
Nintendo’s page also records a Brazil rating-settings change added October 1, 2026. These are not the original broken-request fixes; those were documented in earlier updates. See Nintendo’s update history.
Which update fixed broken requests?
Ver. 1.0.2 — March 17, 2026
Ver. 1.0.2 is the main progression-fix update. Nintendo improved the guidance for two requests where other blocks placed over cracked blocks could make progress hard to understand:
#1 Best Overall
- Shape the world and build a cozy new life with Pokémon as a Ditto transformed to look like a human.
- Use other Pokémon’s moves, like Bulbasaur’s Leafage, to revitalize and navigate the world around you.
- Meet and befriend more Pokémon as you help nature flourish.
- Gather materials to create items and furniture, till the fields to grow delicious crops, build homes for the Pokémon you meet, and more—there’s so much to do!
- Experience a world with varied weather, real-time days and nights, and other surprises.
- Withered Wasteland: “Rock Smash your way to treasure!” near Hitmonchan.
- Bleak Beach: “To Snorlax!” near Snorlax.
Nintendo also listed progression-blocking situations and said: “If these issues have already occurred in your game, applying this update will resolve them.” That assurance applies to the issues Nintendo listed for Ver. 1.0.2, not every bug in every version. The update’s other request and progression fixes included:
- In Withered Wasteland’s “Help make a home!”, Squirtle could move onto a tree and become impossible to talk to.
- In Bleak Beach’s “Find the Pokémon Center!”, breaking the bridge’s cracked blocks before Professor Tangrowth crossed could make progress difficult.
- A particular sequence could stop Professor Tangrowth’s bridge-repair request from triggering.
- A particular sequence in Rocky Ridges could prevent the event where the player meets Rotom.
- “Clear off the path!” in Rocky Ridges could become difficult to progress under certain conditions.
- Spinarak’s type was listed incorrectly in the Pokédex.

Separately, Nintendo fixed a bug where Bleak Beach’s “Charge up the charging station!” could remain incomplete after completion. In Sparkling Skylands, a condition in “Pokémon Center tour guide!” could prevent relocation.
Ver. 1.0.4 request and event fixes
Nintendo reported that “Wanted: Food!” in Bleak Beach could fail to progress under certain conditions. Actions could also prevent “Pool repair needed!” from appearing; after completing it, Happiny might not accompany the player. In Sparkling Skylands, actions could stop Tinkmaster from accompanying the player during “Pokémon Center tour guide!”, making progress impossible. Other character and event problems could prevent Professor Tangrowth from appearing, stop certain characters from leaving town, or keep Pokémon from appearing.

Ver. 1.0.3 request and world fixes
Beyond the two named request fixes in the table, Ver. 1.0.3 addressed a Dream Island return problem, a dark screen between towns or when the in-game date changed, habitat relocation, delayed building completion, seasonal Pokémon disappearing from Cloud Islands, and inability to create a Cloud Island. Nintendo described the continuous controller vibration issue as partially fixed, meaning it was made less likely to occur rather than stated as fully fixed.
