The Pokémon Presents on February 27, 2026, marked the franchise’s 30th anniversary with new game reveals, updates to existing titles, live-event news and a Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion announcement. The presentation aired at 14:00 UTC on Pokémon Day. Here’s what its official recap reported—and what later Nintendo release information added.
New games and game releases
Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves
The presentation’s official description linked to Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, making the pair a major reveal from the anniversary broadcast. Nintendo’s product schedule, published May 8, 2026, lists both for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. It does not give a fixed release date, and Nintendo notes that schedules can change and dates may differ by region. Nintendo’s product schedule.
Pokémon Pokopia and Pokémon Champions
The official presentation description also linked to Pokémon Pokopia and Pokémon Champions. That description establishes that both were part of the event’s linked title lineup, but does not itself provide further announcement details.
Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version
Nintendo’s later schedule lists Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version as Nintendo Switch software released digitally on February 27, 2026. Nintendo describes them as downloadable-only; this was not an announcement of physical Switch cartridges. The schedule is Nintendo’s later release information, rather than a detail established by the presentation description.
