The Blueberry Pokédex is the in-game Pokédex associated with Blueberry Academy in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet: The Indigo Disk. One commonly cited number needs context: Play! Pokémon’s 2026 competitive handbook lists Blueberry Pokédex numbers 001–242 for a tournament eligibility range, but that range is not an official checklist of everything required for in-game Pokédex completion.
What is the Blueberry Pokédex?
The Indigo Disk is Part 2 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, the expansion for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Its story takes players to Blueberry Academy, where the Blueberry Pokédex tracks Pokémon associated with the academy’s setting. The Pokémon Company describes the expansion as part of the games’ Area Zero story (official Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet page).
The Pokédex is an in-game collection and completion checklist. It should not be confused with a competitive rules list, a general list of every Pokémon available across both games, or the Paldea and Kitakami Pokédexes.
How many Pokémon are in the Blueberry Pokédex?
Play! Pokémon’s tournament handbook, current as of May 21, 2026, uses the designation “Blueberry Pokédex No. 001–242” in its Regulation Set I competitive eligibility table (Play! Pokémon Video Game Tournament Handbook). This is a useful numbered range for that competition context; it does not establish that all 242 entries are required to complete the in-game Pokédex, or that 242 is the completion threshold for a diploma or reward.

- Only one code for a Hisuian Zoroark can be used in either the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. Upon purchase of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, an email with your code will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account. From the in-game menu, go to the Poké Portal, then select Mystery Gift, select Get with Code/Password, and then enter your code.
- The Mystery Gift option can be found within the Poké Portal menu option in the X menu after you unlock the feature in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. (This occurs after about 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.) An internet connection and a Nintendo Account is required to redeem the item in game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Each item can only be redeemed once.
The official sources cited here do not provide an entry-by-entry completion checklist, a precise in-game completion threshold, or a confirmed completion reward. Treat the competitive range as a numbering reference, not as proof of those gameplay details.
How do you access the Blueberry Pokédex in The Indigo Disk?
You encounter the Blueberry Academy setting and its Pokédex as part of The Indigo Disk. The DLC is not included automatically with a base-game copy: Nintendo lists the base games and The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero separately, and the matching full game is required to use the DLC (Nintendo: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero).

- Discover new Pokémon on a boundless, open-world adventure. An open-world adventure awaits in the Paldea region, a sprawling land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands and perilous mountain ranges
- Enrol at the prestigious academy located in the heart of the Paldea region and hone your skills as a Pokémon Trainer
Do you need to finish The Teal Mask first?
Yes. Nintendo Support says access to The Indigo Disk story requires completing the main story of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, viewing the credits, and completing the events in The Teal Mask (Nintendo Support: Unable to Access DLC). Owning the DLC alone does not bypass those story prerequisites.
Does the Scarlet DLC work with Pokémon Violet?
No. The DLC must match the base game you own. Nintendo’s product information and support guidance distinguish the versions as follows:

- Pokemon trading card game Scarlet & Violet booster pack coming soon!
| Base game | Matching DLC |
|---|---|
| Pokémon Scarlet | The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet |
| Pokémon Violet | The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Violet |
Check the game version before purchasing; the Scarlet DLC is not a substitute for the Violet DLC, or vice versa. The expansion is a separate purchase from the base game.

Pokémon HOME supports Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet and can help organize compatible Pokémon. However, transfers into a game are limited to Pokémon obtainable in the receiving game, so HOME is not a way to move any species into either version without restriction (Pokémon HOME). It may help manage eligible Pokémon, but the cited official information does not establish that HOME transfers satisfy any particular Blueberry Pokédex completion or reward requirement.
