Triumphant Light was not just an upcoming Pokémon TCG Pocket booster: its early card leak was followed by an official announcement, and the expansion launched on February 28, 2025. DeNA announced the release the day before, while The Pokémon Company International highlighted Arceus ex, more than 70 new cards, and the debut of Link Abilities.
What did the Triumphant Light leak reveal?
On February 27, 2025, contemporaneous coverage from Pokémon Meta reported that cards appeared early in a TikTok advertisement that seemingly went public ahead of schedule. The outlet cautioned readers to treat leaked details as provisional until they were confirmed in the game. The original TikTok post is not independently preserved in the cited sources, so the ad’s role in the leak is best understood as the report’s account, rather than a separately verified explanation.
When did Triumphant Light come out?
DeNA and The Pokémon Company announced Triumphant Light on February 27, 2025, and said it would be added to Pokémon TCG Pocket on February 28. The official Pokémon trailer also gives February 28 as the release date. The leak was therefore followed by confirmation, and the launch is now a past event. DeNA’s announcement and the official trailer establish the date.
What was in the expansion?
The Pokémon Company International said Triumphant Light featured over 70 brand-new cards, with Arceus ex as the set’s headline Pokémon. Its official feature describes Trainer cards, powerful Pokémon ex, immersive cards, and the introduction of Link Abilities. The Pokémon Company International’s February 27, 2025 feature provides those details.

Link Abilities and the Platinum—Arceus reference
The official feature compares the visual card pattern to cards from the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game’s 2009 Platinum—Arceus expansion. That earlier pattern was largely cosmetic; the new Triumphant Light cards use Link Abilities. The comparison is a design reference, not an indication that the physical Platinum—Arceus set is included in Pocket.
Is Triumphant Light a physical booster pack?
No physical Triumphant Light product is established by the cited announcements. The expansion belongs to Pokémon TCG Pocket, a mobile game whose themed booster packs are in-app packs. DeNA describes Pocket as an app co-developed with The Pokémon Company and Creatures Inc. The older physical Platinum—Arceus cards mentioned by Pokémon are only a design comparison.
