Which Pokémon Winds or Waves starter should you choose?
The announcement does not establish a best starter. It gives the trio’s types, basic profile details, abilities, and short character descriptions, but no evolutions, final types, full move sets, stats, or competitive rankings. Those details are not enough to determine which one will be strongest, easiest to use, or best for a particular play style.

For now, choose by the confirmed traits that appeal to you: Browt’s energetic, clumsy nature; Pombon’s friendly temperament and glowing throat; or Gecqua’s clever, theatrical personality. The announcement also does not say that any starter is exclusive to either game, so there is no confirmed version-specific choice between them.

The official announcement does not show or name their evolutions, confirm what types they may have later, or provide battle information beyond their listed abilities. It also does not offer evidence for a gameplay-based ranking or starter-specific exclusivity. Until the games’ official materials establish more, claims about final forms or which partner performs best are speculation.
