The exact ceremony start time was not clearly published in the primary official schedule retrieved. A contemporaneous community schedule reported a start of approximately 4:00 p.m. PDT. Treat that as an estimate, not as an officially confirmed start time. Tournament broadcasts could also shift depending on match length and production timing.

That date difference explains why Japanese listings showed the third-day broadcast on August 18. Japan’s official notice scheduled the broader finals broadcast from 12:30 a.m. to noon JST, but that was the finals channel—not necessarily the precise closing-ceremony start.

Closing ceremony versus the finals broadcast
These were related but separate viewing products:
- The extended Championship Sunday broadcast, which covered the competition.
- The individual finals for TCG, VGC, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE.
- The closing ceremony itself, which was uploaded separately under its own title.
A viewer searching for a specific final may need the full tournament broadcast rather than the ceremony replay. Conversely, the ceremony replay is the relevant video for announcements and the formal conclusion of Worlds.
Could fans attend in person?
In-person attendance was tied to the completed Anaheim event, not to the online replay. The official Worlds pages described side events, exhibition-hall activities, fan experiences, meet-and-greets, and merchandise areas alongside the tournament. Those activities cannot be used to attend the 2025 ceremony now that the event is over.
Quick Recap
What to know before watching the replay
- The ceremony came after a long finals day, so it was not the same thing as the tournament stream.
- The reported 4:00 p.m. PDT start was approximate and came from a contemporaneous community schedule.
- Live tournament schedules could move as matches ran longer or shorter than expected.
- Platform availability may differ by country, language, or archive status.
- The official replay and the Worlds event hub are more reliable than fan speculation when checking announcements.
