What is Poki?
Poki is a browser-based game platform with a catalog spanning genres such as driving, skill, multiplayer, sports, puzzles, dress-up, drawing, and cooking. Poki describes its games as free to play instantly in a browser. Its homepage also presents featured games, which are examples of what is highlighted at a given time—not permanent rankings or guarantees that a title will always be available.
Examples shown on Poki include driving games Drift Boss and Drive Mad, skill game Stickman Hook, multiplayer game Smash Karts, and featured titles such as Level Devil, Retro Bowl, and Vortella’s Dress Up. The platform describes multiplayer options that include playing together on one keyboard or playing online; support for a particular mode depends on the game.
Are Poki games free?
Poki says its games are free to play. The trade-off is advertising and data use: Poki’s privacy statement says it uses information to operate and improve the site, save progress, and show ads. It also describes game developers and advertising partners as participants in the service, and says ads may relate to previous activity. Poki’s privacy center describes first-party and third-party cookies, HTML local storage, and similar technologies. How to find a game that suits you
Start with the kind of play you want, then check the game’s own page for its mode and controls. A category is a useful starting point, not a promise that every game works the same way.
- For a quick driving challenge: try a driving title such as Drift Boss or Drive Mad.
- For timing and reflexes: browse skill games such as Stickman Hook.
- For shared or online play: look through multiplayer games such as Smash Karts, and confirm whether the specific title offers local or online play.
- For a slower or creative session: explore puzzle, dress-up, drawing, or cooking categories.
Device and input matter too. A game designed around keyboard controls may be a better fit for desktop, while a title with touch-friendly controls may suit a phone or tablet. Poki supports mobile, tablet, and desktop browsing, but that does not mean every game has identical controls or modes on every device.

Can I play Poki games on my phone, and do I need to download anything?
Poki says its games run in a browser on mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers, with no download or installation required. Open Poki in the device’s browser, choose a game, and follow the game page’s start prompt. If a title’s controls or layout are awkward on a small screen, try another game or switch to a larger device.
Do I need an account to play Poki?
No. Poki says an account is optional and visitors can play without registering. An account can save progress across devices. If you play while logged out, progress is stored locally in the browser rather than linked to a Poki account, and Poki says it can be removed through browser settings.

Poki also says most games do not have chat. Its FAQ identifies Vortella’s Dress Up and Steal and Run as examples using Poki Safe Chat, where players choose from predefined messages. Check the individual game and Poki’s FAQ rather than assuming every title has the same communication features.
Privacy and location considerations
Poki says local versions of its service reflect local privacy rules and age requirements. Its privacy center notes that a VPN or device language may affect which version a visitor sees. Check the version relevant to your location, especially when reviewing privacy information or age requirements.
