A secondary report names Blue Prince as Polygon’s top game of 2025, but the full 50-game ranking and its order cannot be verified from the available sources. Polygon author Giovanni Colantonio refers to a 50-best-games list in a separate feature, confirming that the list is the subject of discussion—not its complete contents.
What is known about Polygon’s 2025 list?
iSeekGames reports that Blue Prince was Polygon’s number-one game of 2025. That is a secondary report; the full Polygon ranking could not be independently checked, so it should not be treated as confirmation of the other entries or their order. Read the iSeekGames report.
Polygon author Giovanni Colantonio’s December 22, 2025 feature describes itself as an addendum to Polygon’s 50 best games list. It does not reproduce the ranking. Read Colantonio’s feature via QOSHE.
Can you see the complete ranking?
Not from the sources available here. The 50 entries and their order remain unverified. The selection rules and any voting method are also not established, so there is no responsible way to fill in the missing places using other year-end lists.

Why does an annual games list have limits?
Colantonio writes that “The truth about Game of the Year season is that it’s near-impossible to consider everything.” He adds: “No list could ever be thorough enough. No ranking could ever account for a full calendar year.” His point is that the volume of releases and reviewers’ limited time make comprehensive coverage difficult; it is not an explanation of Polygon’s specific selection process.
