The claim remains unconfirmed: there is no substantiated identity, character kit, rarity, faction, release window, or banner to report.
What does the new character leak actually reveal?
The matching report from Position Is Everything, published May 15, 2026, describes an unnamed character reportedly in development. Its indexed text does not identify the character and does not expose a primary leak artifact that readers can inspect. That makes the report a summary of a rumor, not independently verifiable evidence of a particular upcoming Agent.
Because the claim is unnamed, details such as an attribute, combat role, faction, rarity, or release timing cannot be responsibly attached to it. No competing character identities are substantiated in the available account.
Who is the rumored new Zenless Zone Zero character?
The character’s identity is unknown from the available report. It supplies no name, and the material available does not establish which character the rumor concerns.
HoYoverse’s official video listing later included a Roxy Character Teaser dated September 29, 2026. That confirms Roxy was officially promoted by that date, but does not connect her to the unnamed May rumor. The two facts should not be treated as evidence that the leak was about Roxy.

Is the Zenless Zone Zero character leak confirmed?
No. The May report itself advises caution, and the underlying leak material is not provided there. A claim is more assessable when readers can inspect a named primary source or asset and see independent corroboration; repeated summaries of the same unsupported claim do not by themselves establish it.
HoYoverse’s later announcements provide official game context, not confirmation of this specific rumor. Its July 22, 2026 news item covered the game’s second anniversary and the debut of the Lumiflux attribute and S-Rank Agent Remielle Dan. Neither that item nor the Roxy teaser identifies the subject of the May claim.

What official Zenless Zone Zero news came after the rumor?
HoYoverse announced that the Version 3.3 “Journey to the Sky” Special Program would begin October 9, 2026 at 19:30 (UTC+8). This is the schedule for an official update program; the announcement is not evidence that the rumored character was confirmed.

For readers following the timeline, the July anniversary announcement and September Roxy teaser are later official developments, but neither resolves the rumor’s identity. The available evidence therefore leaves the original claim open rather than tying it to a named Agent or a particular update.

How should players evaluate future claims?
- Look for provenance: Prefer a named, inspectable original leak or official announcement over an unattributed summary.
- Check for independent corroboration: Multiple outlets repeating one claim are not necessarily multiple independent sources.
- Separate confirmation from speculation: An official teaser can confirm the character it names without validating a separate earlier rumor.
- Wait for specifics to be sourced: Do not treat a name, kit, rarity, faction, release window, or banner as established unless a reliable source actually supplies it.
