PRAGMATA is no longer an upcoming PS5 game: Capcom says it launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 17, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 version launched April 24 in Japan and other parts of Asia. The new Capcom sci-fi action-adventure follows Hugh Williams and Diana, an android girl, and builds its combat around combining hacking with shooting.
When did PRAGMATA come out on PS5?
Capcom lists April 17, 2026, as the release date for PRAGMATA on PS5. That is the actual launch date, not a projected 2026 window. Capcom had announced April 24, 2026 as the planned date in December 2025, then its May 7, 2026 sales announcement confirmed the April 17 launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Which platforms can you play PRAGMATA on?
Capcom lists four platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The Switch 2 release date Capcom gives is April 24, 2026, in Japan and other parts of Asia; the May announcement does not give a worldwide Switch 2 date. PRAGMATA is therefore not a PS5 exclusive.
Capcom’s announcements establish platform availability, but do not provide a sourced comparison of resolution, frame rate, performance, controls, or platform-specific features. They also do not establish current prices, editions, or present demo availability.

What kind of game is PRAGMATA?
PRAGMATA is a new science-fiction action-adventure IP from Capcom. It follows Hugh Williams and Diana, an android girl, in a near-future lunar setting shaped by artificial intelligence. Capcom describes its central design as a fusion of action and puzzle elements.
Hacking and shooting work together
The game’s distinctive hook is that Hugh and Diana are controlled as partners rather than treated as separate stories. In a June 2025 PlayStation Blog post, director Cho Yonghee said players control both characters and that hacking is key to success in combat. Capcom later described the Sketchbook demo as featuring a tactile system combining hacking and shooting; that description concerns the demo and should not be taken as a complete account of every mechanic in the finished game. How many copies has PRAGMATA sold?
Capcom reported that PRAGMATA surpassed one million units worldwide on April 20, 2026, three days after its April 17 launch. On May 7, Capcom reported more than two million units worldwide within 16 days. These are publisher-reported sales milestones, not independent estimates, and they do not establish the game’s current total.
