Amazon announced its October 2024 Prime Gaming giveaway on October 11, listing 28 PC games to claim through partner storefronts. The headline games included DOOM Eternal and BioShock Remastered. This is a historical promotion—not the separate October 2026 offer.
What was in the October 2024 Prime Gaming giveaway?
Contemporaneous coverage counted 28 games, which explains the “nearly 30” description. Amazon’s October 11 announcement set out staggered claim dates and the storefront for each game. The offer was for Amazon Prime members and included games redeemed through services such as GOG, the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store. Could you keep the games after cancelling Prime?
Contemporaneous reporting said a game remained available after Prime cancellation once it had been redeemed on its designated platform. That is different from the claim window: the offer to obtain a game was temporary, so a member needed to claim it—and redeem a code where applicable—before that game’s deadline. An expired October 2024 offer cannot be claimed now. The retention detail was reported by Notebookcheck on October 11, 2024; Amazon described the monthly PC games as titles members could keep in its announcement.

Where could you claim DOOM Eternal and BioShock Remastered?
BioShock Remastered was offered as a GOG code. DOOM Eternal was offered through the Microsoft Store, not as a GOG or Epic Games Store claim. Amazon limited the DOOM Eternal offer to Prime Gaming regions where the Microsoft Store was available and noted that offers could vary by region. The storefront and regional terms appear in Amazon’s announcement.
How to claim a Prime Gaming offer
- During the offer period, sign in to Prime Gaming with the Amazon account that has Prime membership.
- Open the game’s offer and check its deadline, region availability and listed redemption platform.
- Select the claim option and follow the instructions for that storefront. For a code offer, redeem the code on the named service; for a store entitlement, complete the indicated account-linking or redemption steps.
- Confirm that the game appears in the relevant storefront library before the offer expires.
The October 2024 claim windows have ended, so these steps do not reactivate that giveaway.

Is this the October 2026 Prime Gaming lineup?
No. The 28-game count and the DOOM Eternal offer refer to October 2024. Amazon Game Studios’ separate October 6, 2026 Luna update says Free Games with Prime is adding ten PC titles during October 2026. That list includes DOOM—not DOOM Eternal—as a GOG code available October 1, alongside titles including Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit and Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. See the October 2026 Luna update for that separate schedule.
