Playmates Toys was scheduled to show its Dungeon Crawler Carl merchandise at New York Comic Con on Thursday and Friday, October 8–9, 2026. The lineup included Princess Donut plush, loot boxes, and articulated figures. The plush and the loot boxes are separate products. The plush is a named character toy sold in 8-inch and 12-inch versions. The blind purchases are loot boxes that contain a mystery Princess Donut figure and accessories. The headline phrase “blind box plushies” blurs that distinction, so this article keeps the formats apart.
What was on the NYCC display
The Toy Book reported on October 7, 2026 that New York Comic Con would run October 8–11 and that Playmates would display the collection on Thursday and Friday. It listed Princess Donut plush, loot boxes, and articulated figures. The Pop Insider’s October 1 preview reported the same Thursday–Friday display and the same product categories.
Both reports were published before the show opened. Neither is a post-event record of what was actually on the tables, so the display is described here as scheduled. Coverage from the show floor would be needed to confirm the exact lineup that appeared.

Princess Donut plush
Playmates’ February 13, 2026 product announcement names two plush versions: 8-inch and 12-inch deluxe. It says both include many of Princess Donut’s iconic accessories. The announcement does not list the accessories for each size, so buyers who want a specific accessory set should check the product listing or packaging before purchase.
Loot boxes: what a blind purchase contains
The announcement calls the Dungeon Crawler: World Earth Loot Boxes blind purchases. Each box holds a mystery Princess Donut figure and one to four related accessories. The announcement also refers to bronze, silver, and gold variant opportunities. It does not state how likely each variant is to appear, so the variants should be treated as possibilities rather than guaranteed tiers.

First-wave Collectible Crawlers figures
The first wave of six-inch, fully poseable Collectible Crawlers includes Mordecai, Prepotente, and Carl. Carl comes with Princess Donut seated on his shoulder, held in place by a magnet. The figures have interchangeable hands and heads and accessories specific to each character. Because the figures are named, buyers know which character they receive, unlike the loot boxes.
Where and when to find the products
Playmates announced a fall 2026 rollout through select specialty retailers. Matt Dinniman’s August 28, 2026 update names Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Urban Outfitters, Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Five Below among the retailers. It also says merchandise will appear gradually, so a local store may not have stock yet.

Neither source establishes an Amazon listing, a marketplace price, or a stock level. Before buying, check:
- Whether the retailer’s website or store listing shows the product in stock, not just that the retailer carries the brand.
- For plush, the size (8-inch or 12-inch) in the listing title.
- For loot boxes, that the listing describes a blind purchase, so the mystery figure is not confused with a named plush.
- For any online seller, that it is an authorized channel, since the sources reviewed do not name one.
Renegade tabletop products are a separate line
Renegade Game Studios lists two related products for a November 2026 release window. One is a nine-piece, prepainted Royal Court miniatures set that includes Princess Donut. The other is a Princess Donut RPG dice set. Both come from Renegade and are not part of the Playmates toy display at New York Comic Con.
