Here is a route reference to the Prospecting quest entries reported in published guides: who gives each quest, what to bring and the listed reward. It is not a verified complete 2026 catalog. Most detailed quest tables date to 2025, and guides disagree on several objectives and payouts; check the live quest UI before gathering disputed items.
How to spot quest NPCs
Pro Game Guides says an NPC with a green question mark overhead has a quest available; the marker reportedly remains if that NPC has another quest to offer. Treat this as guide-reported behavior and use the in-game marker as your practical check. The same guide places John across from the statue in Rubble Creek Sands, the Trader on a wooden box near the Merchant there, and the Tired Prospector by the right wall of the Fortune River Store.

What to verify before farming
The tables are useful as route references, not as a promise that every objective or reward is current. The detailed guides were last updated in July or August 2025, while the Roblox experience listing showed an October 3, 2026 update. A September 2026 update guide reports a waypoint improvement to the Icebreaker Quest, evidence that quest-related content can change, but it does not establish a complete revised quest roster.
- For John’s New Deposits, confirm the objective and payout in the quest UI before collecting either set of materials.
- For the Trader’s second Special Order, check the displayed cash, shard reward and whether the sell boost is described as permanent.
- For Monitoring the Volcano, confirm the ore spelling and quantities in the live objective.
- The surfaced guide roster includes John, Trader, Archaeologist, Engineer, Tired Prospector, Fisherman, Pirate, Lightkeeper, Old Prospector, Head Researcher, Botanist, Paleontologist, Ranger and Flame Priest; it is not verified as every NPC in the current game.
Published guides used for these route details include Beebom, Pro Game Guides, TechWiser and the Prospecting community wiki. Roblox’s experience listing identifies the live game but does not provide a quest catalog. Droid Gamers’ Icebreaker Quest update guide covers selected later quest changes.
