PlayStation defines PS5 error CE-112841-7 as “You are not signed in.” Check your account sign-in from the console first, then follow PlayStation’s restart and connection checks. The code alone does not diagnose a hardware failure.
What PS5 error CE-112841-7 means
PlayStation’s Argentina Spanish support page identifies the error as “No has iniciado sesión,” meaning “You are not signed in.” Its guidance starts with checking account sign-in, then moves to console and network troubleshooting. The code itself does not establish that a console component has failed, that an account is banned, or that PlayStation services are down. PlayStation’s CE-112841-7 support page gives the official steps.

Check sign-in on the PS5
From the PS5 home screen, open Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Sign In. Check whether you can sign in.

Restart the console and try a wired connection if available
Restart the PS5. PlayStation also recommends connecting with a wired internet connection if possible; this is a suggestion, not a requirement to buy an Ethernet cable.

Improve the Wi-Fi connection, if you use Wi-Fi
Move the PS5 closer to the router and remove objects that obstruct the connection between them.

Restart the router
Turn the router off, wait at least five minutes, then turn it back on.

If the checks do not resolve the issue, contact PlayStation Support. The code-specific page also links to PlayStation repairs, but it does not identify a hardware fault as the cause.
What to avoid assuming
CE-112841-7 points to a sign-in state in PlayStation’s guidance. It is not, by itself, proof of a ban, an outage, or a failed console part. Follow the account and connection checks before considering repair; the published instructions do not require a purchase or hardware replacement.
