What did the PS5 Pro design look like?
The finished console kept the recognizable PS5-family shape, with three horizontal bands—or “blades”—across its side panels. In his September 2024 announcement, Sony executive Hideaki Nishino said PS5 Pro was the same height as the original PS5 and the same width as the then-current PS5 model. Sony later gave the slits a functional explanation: in an April 2025 teardown, PS5 Pro Mechanical Design Lead Shinya Tsuchida said, “The distinctive three slits are new airflow paths that were not present in the original PS5, or the current PS5.” See Sony’s announcement post and teardown.
What PS5 Pro details were leaked?
The headline refers to leak-era reporting, but the original leak source, its first publication date, and a dependable complete list of advance claims are not established here. That means it is not possible to fairly score the rumors point by point against the final console. The design, specifications, disc configuration, and prices below are details Sony confirmed after the reveal; they should not be mistaken for verified pre-announcement leaks.
