Sony’s PS5 State of Play took place on February 12, 2025. The company’s preview billed it as a 40-plus-minute broadcast focused on games coming to PS5, with viewing on YouTube and Twitch. The event ranged across first reveals, gameplay trailers, release dates, DLC, a surprise launch, and PlayStation Plus news—not just one headline game.
This retrospective follows Sony’s official recap, published that day by Gillen McAllister, Manager, Content Communications at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Dates and release windows below are the plans Sony announced at the event; they are historical announcements, not confirmation of current availability.
What was announced at the PS5 State of Play in February 2025?
The broadcast covered a broad mix of PlayStation, third-party, and indie games. Housemarque’s Saros was the major new PS5 game reveal, while the event also delivered dates for games such as Borderlands 4 and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remaster announcement, new gameplay, DLC plans, and a same-day release.
The list below distinguishes the kinds of news Sony reported. A game appearing in the recap does not necessarily mean it was newly revealed: some entries were release-date updates, expansions, demos, or service announcements.

Sony’s preview described a 40-plus-minute showcase centered on PS5 games and named YouTube and Twitch as viewing platforms. The recap’s breadth matched that framing: it included new games, sequels, remasters, expansions, demos, release timing, and a subscription update.
