PUBG’s official Update 17.1 notes scheduled PC maintenance for April 13, 2022, but left the exact time as “to be updated.” Console maintenance was listed for April 20–21, a separate date. These are historical dates, not a current outage notice.
When was PUBG Update 17.1 maintenance scheduled?
The official Update 17.1 notes, published April 6, 2022, gave PC players an April 13 maintenance date and said the specific time would be updated. The notes available here do not establish a definitive PC start time, end time, or when servers actually returned.
| Platform | Published maintenance window | What the schedule establishes |
|---|---|---|
| PC | April 13, 2022 | The official notes list the date, but not a specific time. |
| Console | PDT: April 20, 9 PM–April 21, 4 AM CEST: April 21, 6 AM–1 PM KST: April 21, 1 PM–8 PM |
These are the platform-specific times printed in the official notes. |
The April 12–13 wording refers to the period when players were anticipating the PC downtime; the official PC date was April 13. Console maintenance was scheduled for the following week, not as part of the same window.
How long was PC downtime expected to last?
Secondary community posts suggested an approximately eight-hour PC maintenance window. A Steam Community post cited an April 13 start at 03:30 MSK and an eight-hour duration; a Reddit post also described an approximate eight-hour window with local times. These are community reports, not the official schedule, and they do not confirm the actual restoration time: Steam Community post and Reddit post.

What did Update 17.1 add?
Original Sanhok returned
The update brought back the original version of Sanhok, including landmarks such as Bootcamp, Ruins, Docks, and Quarry, along with the map’s original jungle look. The official notes also described map-content and tactical-gear changes. PUBG noted that features could change or be removed because of bugs, in-game issues, or community feedback.
The ACE32 joined the weapon pool
Update 17.1 introduced the ACE32, a world-spawn 7.62mm assault rifle with single-fire and full-auto modes and attachment support. PUBG’s April 2022 game-stat table listed 43 damage, an effective fire range of 400, muzzle velocity of 720 m/s, and a rate of fire of 680 RPM. These are in-game values, not real-world firearm specifications. Details are in the official Update 17.1 notes.

How can I check PUBG server status now?
The 2022 maintenance dates do not indicate whether PUBG is online today. For a current status check, PUBG Support directs players to its PUBG_Support channel. If you are experiencing connection problems, PUBG Support also recommends trying a wired connection; that is a troubleshooting step, not proof that a player-side network issue is causing a particular outage.
