Clips attributed to Ryan from the Bronx, formerly known as Midori, were reported as early-development footage of SEGA’s Crazy Taxi and Shinobi reboots on September 7–8, 2024. Nintendo Life said the Crazy Taxi clip reportedly showed vehicles delivering passengers, while the Shinobi material included an opening sequence and a short gameplay segment. SEGA did not authenticate either clip in the reports, and early footage may not reflect the finished games.
What did the leaked Crazy Taxi and Shinobi footage show?
Nintendo Life’s September 8, 2024 report attributed both sets of clips to Ryan from the Bronx, formerly known as Midori. The footage was described as purported early-development material, not as footage confirmed by SEGA.

|---|---|---|
| Crazy Taxi | Multiple vehicles moving through a game world and delivering passengers. | The clip was reportedly from 2022; that date was attributed, not independently verified. The footage was described as an early build. |
| Shinobi | An early opening movie and a short gameplay sequence. | The footage was described as an early version; the report did not establish that it represented the final game. |
Nintendo Life’s report cautioned that what appears in the clips may not reflect the final products. A leak attribution and description are not the same as official confirmation.
What had SEGA confirmed about the reboots?
On December 8, 2023, SEGA announced new games based on Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, and Streets of Rage. It said the projects were at different stages of development and would arrive over the coming years, with names, release dates, and platforms to be shared in future updates. That announcement confirms the projects existed; it does not authenticate the leaked clips.

SEGA Corporation Co-COO Shuji Utsumi said of the revival initiative: “First and foremost, our ambition will be to create great games with memorable characters and worlds.” The statement was about the broader initiative, not the leaks. SEGA’s announcement also notes that Crazy Taxi first appeared in arcades in 1999 and Shinobi made its arcade debut in 1987.

The leak story is historical, and the two games have since taken different paths. SEGA Sammy’s FY2026/3 Q3 presentation listed Crazy Taxi as a title and release date to be determined, while listing SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance for August 29, 2025. That schedule is a snapshot of the company’s release planning, not a live availability listing.

By June 7, 2026, VGC reported that SEGA had publicly shown the Crazy Taxi reboot as Crazy Taxi: World Tour and that SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance had been released in 2025. The reported leak clips should therefore be read as an early glimpse, not as a description of the games as ultimately released or publicly shown.
