Ultimate on March 5, 2021, as a two-in-one downloadable fighter from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Players can switch between Pyra, whom Nintendo describes as powerful, and Mythra, described as speedy. Their Challenger Pack also adds the Cloud Sea of Alrest stage and 16 music tracks.
How Pyra and Mythra work as a fighter
Pyra and Mythra are Blades who form a strong bond with Rex in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. In Ultimate, they share a fighter slot: players can switch between the two characters during a match. Nintendo’s description contrasts Pyra’s power with Mythra’s speed; it does not provide a numeric comparison of their attributes.

What does the Pyra/Mythra Challenger Pack include?
Nintendo’s Challenger Pack listing identifies the following additions:
- Pyra/Mythra as a playable fighter
- The Cloud Sea of Alrest stage
- 16 music tracks
- Four Smash tag icons
- Fighter spirits for Pyra and Mythra, plus additions to the Spirit Board
Nintendo’s release announcement also lists a Classic Mode route and a DLC Spirit Board.

How to get the DLC
The pack is DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch; it is not part of a physical copy of the base game. Nintendo announced two purchase routes: buy the Pyra/Mythra Challenger Pack individually, or access it through Fighters Pass Vol. 2, which Nintendo described as granting access to six Challenger Packs. The pack’s release date was March 5, 2021. Current regional prices and storefront availability are not established here.

You need Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch to use the add-on. The Challenger Pack listing identifies Nintendo Switch as the DLC system and Ultimate as the required game.
