What did the 2025 R.E.P.O. monster-update report say?
Insider Gaming published its report on September 1, 2025. It said semiwork had shared a preview video on August 29 titled “REVEALING THE NEXT R.E.P.O. UPDATE,” and that the video’s narrator said, “The next update will be all monsters.” The report gave October 30, 2025, as the planned release date. Insider Gaming’s report is the source for those preview and scheduling details.
The report described one creature shown in the video: a small, goblin-like figure with tusks, teeth, a long tongue and a prominent nose. It said the rest of the monsters were kept secret. That description reflects what the report said about the preview, not a confirmed list of every creature that made it into the update.
What is known about the update’s final contents?
The cited report did not provide a full monster roster or a complete patch description. Its preview establishes that the update was presented as monster-focused and that at least one creature was shown; it does not establish the final contents. The information available here therefore cannot confirm how many monsters were added or whether every preview detail appeared in the released version.

Is October 30 still the next update date?
No. October 30, 2025, was the date reported for a planned release, and that date has passed. Steam’s listing now identifies R.E.P.O. as an Early Access game and records version 0.4.0, The Cosmetic Update, as released on May 7, 2026. That later listing makes the 2025 announcement historical, but it does not by itself provide a complete changelog for the earlier monster update. See the R.E.P.O. R.E.P.O. is an online co-op horror game developed and published by semiwork. Steam describes it as a physics-based object-retrieval game with proximity voice chat, scary monsters and play for up to five friends. The store listing gives February 26, 2025, as its release date and currently labels it Early Access. Those details explain the game the monster-update report concerns; they are not claims about the update’s specific features.
