Rabbit and Steel is a randomized action roguelike built around compact, MMO-style boss raids—not a persistent online MMO. You choose a class, build around loot and upgrades, then dodge bullet-hell attacks and resolve boss mechanics alone or with up to three other players.

What kind of game is Rabbit and Steel?

Rabbit and Steel adapts the feel of tab-target MMORPG raiding into a roguelike. Its official Steam description puts the distinction plainly: “This isn’t an MMO, though; it’s a roguelike!” The developer’s press kit describes it as a simplified take on tab-target MMO raiding.

Combat emphasizes skill use, global cooldowns, gear effects and handling boss mechanics as a team. Runs are randomized: choose a class, fight through stages and bosses, and collect loot and upgrades to shape your build. The Steam listing advertises more than 100 random loot items. This is run-based progression, not a persistent MMO world.

Can you play Rabbit and Steel solo?

Yes. The game includes a one-player story campaign in which you talk with enemies to investigate the mystery of the Moonlit Kingdom. Solo play also changes how some encounters work: mechanics that would ordinarily require cooperation become intense bullet-hell attacks, so you handle them by dodging rather than relying on teammates.
