First work out whether RAID: Shadow Legends is running choppily or whether actions are delayed or disconnecting: low frame rate calls for graphics and performance checks, while delays and disconnects call for connection and service checks. Plarium’s support guidance covers both, but no single step is a guaranteed fix for every PC.
Identify what “lag” looks like
Different symptoms point to different tests. Plarium’s general troubleshooting separates graphics slowdown from connection problems, and notes that disconnects may involve either internet connectivity or the local device: Plarium RAID: Shadow Legends support.
- Low or choppy frame rate: animation stutters even when actions respond promptly. Start with graphics settings.
- Delayed actions: inputs register late or battles seem to pause. Compare connections and check for service issues.
- Connection errors or full disconnects: check the service and network path before changing graphics settings.
- Launcher or loading errors: try the Plarium Play cache reset and, if needed, reinstall.
Check whether the game service has a known issue
Before changing your setup, check Plarium’s server status and official RAID technical-support forum for current notices or reports.
A Plarium known-issues result labeled v. 11.40.0 described a ProtocolError (500) login report after that update: Plarium forum. That version-specific report does not establish the cause of a current lag or connection problem. Match any notice to the game build and symptom you are seeing.

Test connection-related lag and disconnects
Restart the router and compare networks
- Close RAID and restart your router, then reconnect and test the game again.
- If possible, connect the PC through a different network, such as a phone’s mobile hotspot, and repeat the same activity.
- Compare the results: if RAID works over the mobile connection but not your home connection, the router configuration or internet provider may be involved. This narrows the possibilities; it does not prove which one is at fault.
Plarium gives the same comparison as a troubleshooting step in its article “Can’t load Tournament/Event”. Full Wi-Fi signal bars do not, by themselves, show that a connection is stable. If you use Wi-Fi, temporarily testing a compatible Ethernet connection is another way to compare paths, not a guaranteed remedy.
Use the comparison to choose the next step
- Works on the alternate connection: focus next on the home router or provider path; contact the provider or consult the router’s support if needed.
- Still fails on different connections: check Plarium’s service notices, then collect the error details and contact support if it persists.
Reduce local graphics load
For low or choppy frame rate, Plarium recommends setting Graphic Quality to Medium or Low and setting the Frame Rate Limit to 30 FPS: Plarium support troubleshooting. These are performance troubleshooting settings, not a fix for network latency. Change them and see whether the animation becomes smoother.

Reset Plarium Play cache for loading problems
If the problem is that RAID will not load or the launcher reports an error, Plarium’s PC instructions say to open Plarium Play, go to Settings, choose System preferences, then select Reset cache: “My game won’t load. How do I fix it? [Plarium Play]”.
- In Plarium Play, open Settings.
- Open System preferences.
- Select Reset cache, then try launching RAID again.
- If the issue remains, uninstall and reinstall RAID. If necessary, reinstall Plarium Play using the official Plarium Play download page.
Plarium’s article says that users on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 can address critical launcher errors by updating to Windows 10 or later. Check Plarium’s current support guidance for the supported operating systems and current interface labels before relying on this step.

Contact Plarium with useful evidence
If errors or crashes continue, submit a ticket through the appropriate category in Plarium technical support. Include the screenshot and circumstances of the crash, including the game mode and Champions being used. Plarium also asks for the launcher and RAID logs:

The RAID log’s numeric folder can differ by build, so use the matching folder on your installation. These details help support assess the specific error instead of treating every kind of lag as the same problem.
