What players mean by “cursor bug”
The phrase can refer to different symptoms: a pointer appearing during a match, a pointer that disappears or flickers, or mouse input that stops behaving normally. Those reports do not establish one shared cause. Note exactly what the pointer is doing and when it starts: in a match, in a menu, after alt-tabbing, or after closing the game.
A third-party article published May 15, 2026 describes reports of stuck, missing, drifting, flickering, or unresponsive pointers and suggests possible focus, display-mode, scaling, or overlay conflicts. Try the specific step Ubisoft Support gave for this symptom: disable the Ubisoft Connect overlay, then replay the same situation and check whether the pointer still appears. In a Steam Community reply posted October 31, 2022, Ubisoft Support asked whether the cursor was visible in a match and, if so, suggested disabling the overlay. A missing or frozen pointer, a cursor that appears only after alt-tabbing, and mouse input that fails are not necessarily the same issue as a visible pointer during a match. Record the trigger before changing several settings at once; otherwise, it becomes harder to tell whether a change helped.
