Why might the rank display not match what you expected?
An older Ubisoft support-forum reply, preserved in an archive, offered two possible explanations for an apparent missing MMR update: a match may fail to sync, such as after a disconnect or leaving early, or the display may not have updated even though points were added or subtracted. This is historical, case-specific guidance—not confirmation of the current behavior of Ranked 3.0 or a general promise that Ubisoft can recover points. A nearby archived reply said MMR could not be manually returned in that particular case, which likewise should not be treated as a universal current policy.
What “ELO” or “MMR” means in current Ranked
Players often use “ELO” or “MMR” as shorthand for rank points. Ubisoft’s June 26, 2026 description of Ranked 3.0 says the system has no hidden MMR and uses five placement matches to establish a starting rank. What to do if your points did not update
- Check the match and rank display. Note what the post-match screen showed and whether your rank display changed after allowing time for it to refresh.
- Record the details. Write down the match date and approximate time, including your time zone if known; your platform; what happened just before the disconnect; any error code; whether you attempted to reconnect; and the result or sanction shown afterward.
- Save evidence. Keep screenshots or video of the match result, rank display, error message, or sanction notice. Ubisoft’s bug-report guidance asks for a clear account of steps, expected behavior, reproduction steps, any workaround, and supporting images or video.
