For a self-managed server, download the dedicated Raspberry Flavoured server pack into its own directory, run update.sh on Linux or macOS (or update.bat on Windows), then start it with run.sh or run.bat. Use Java 17; Java 25 and newer are unsupported according to the project documentation.
Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
A managed host follows a different sequence: create a Forge 1.19.2 server, upload the server pack over FTP or SFTP, launch it, run packwiz update, stop it, delete the world folder created by an initial vanilla launch, and start again. Docker is possible with itzg/minecraft-server, but the pack author says Raspberry Flavoured has not been tested in Docker, so container deployment is best left to operators comfortable diagnosing it.

| Pack release | 3.3.1 | Use the same release on clients and the server. |
| Minecraft | 1.19.2 | Create a Forge server for this exact Minecraft version. |
| Forge | 43.5.1 | Install or select the Forge build named by the pack documentation. |
| Mods | 253 in the selected Modpacks.ch pack file | This is a file count, not a memory recommendation or player-capacity estimate. |
| Design | Exploration and farming | Expect a content-heavy pack rather than a small vanilla-plus installation. |
| Recorded project reach | 509,845 CurseForge downloads on the listing captured in 2025/2026 | A historical listing figure, not a guarantee of current activity or support. |
The pack is a Minecraft Java/Forge installation. Players need a compatible Java Edition client and the same Raspberry Flavoured release; a Bedrock-only client cannot load Forge mods.
Choose the installation route
Decide how much control you need before downloading anything. The server pack, not a normal client instance folder, is the starting point for every route.
#1 Best Overall
| Route | Best for | Advantages | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Console scripts | An operator with shell access to a PC or rented server | The clearest documented update process, direct access to files and logs, and no host control-panel limitations | You handle Java, backups, firewalling, permissions and recovery |
| Managed host with FTP/SFTP | Someone who wants the provider to maintain the machine | No local server hardware; file transfer and the pack’s update command are still available | Java versions, permissions, startup commands and backups vary by provider |
| Modrinth server pack | A host that offers a Modrinth Forge 1.19.2 deployment | The official documentation provides an mrpack because the pack sources mods through Modrinth |
The host must support the exact Forge version and Modrinth import workflow |
| Docker | An operator already comfortable with containers | Repeatable configuration and easy movement between machines | The author reports no Docker testing; image, volume, permissions and networking problems are yours to diagnose |
| One-click installation | A beginner who values a control panel over low-level control | Fast initial provisioning when the provider has a current template | Verify that the template is Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1, not an older release, and check Java control, backups, geography, pricing and support before paying |
Prerequisites and compatibility checks
Install a supported Java runtime
Minecraft 1.18 and newer require Java 17 according to the project guide. That guide identified Java 21 as the latest release at the time it was written, while warning that Java 25 or newer can crash and is unsupported. These requirements are version-sensitive, so check the current project instructions if the pack or launcher changes.
Before starting the server, run:
java -version
Confirm that the reported major version is supported by the pack. If the machine has several Java installations, set JAVA_HOME to the Java 17 or Java 21 installation selected for this server and ensure that its bin directory is first on PATH. On Windows, update the system or service environment variables and open a new terminal before checking java -version again. On Linux or macOS, update the shell or service environment rather than changing only the interactive terminal if the server will run as a background service.
Keep the client and server releases aligned
- Install Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 on each player’s client.
- Use Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge 43.5.1, rather than letting a launcher select a newer Minecraft or Forge version.
- Download the dedicated server pack. A client profile contains files and settings that are not a substitute for the server distribution.
- Do not interpret the 253-file count as a RAM requirement. No authoritative memory or player-count figure is established here.
Create a clean server location
Use a directory separate from your regular Minecraft folder. This prevents a launcher update, a client-only configuration file or an unrelated world from being mixed into the server. Give the account running the server read and write access to that directory, and make a backup location outside it so a damaged world cannot overwrite every copy.
Install with the official console scripts
Linux or macOS
- Create a new, empty server directory separate from the Minecraft client directory.
- Download the Raspberry Flavoured dedicated server pack and extract all of it into that directory. Preserve the directory structure supplied by the archive.
- Open a terminal in the extracted directory and verify Java with
java -version. - Execute
update.sh. If your shell requires an explicit path, run the script from the current directory as./update.sh. Allow it to finish before starting Minecraft. - Start the server by executing
run.sh(or./run.shwhen required by the shell). - Watch the first startup in the terminal and wait for the server to finish loading before attempting a connection. Keep this window or service log available while testing, because a Java, permission or missing-file error will appear there.
The updater is part of the pack’s intended lifecycle. Do not replace it with a client-side launcher installation or copy a different modpack’s mods directory over the server.
Windows
- Create a separate folder for the server and extract the dedicated server pack into it.
- Open a Command Prompt or PowerShell window in that folder and check
java -version. - Run
update.batand wait for it to complete. - Start the server with
run.bat. - Leave the console open during the first launch so you can capture errors and confirm that the process reaches a ready state.
If Windows shows a security prompt for a downloaded script, confirm that the file came from the pack’s official distribution before allowing it to run. A script that exits immediately is usually a Java, path or permission problem; check the console text rather than repeatedly double-clicking it.
Updating a self-managed server
- Tell players to stop connecting and make a complete backup of the server directory, especially the world and configuration files.
- Stop the running server cleanly.
- Run the same platform-specific updater again:
update.shon Linux/macOS orupdate.baton Windows. - Review the updater output for download or permission errors.
- Start with
run.shorrun.batand test a client before reopening the server to everyone.
Keep dated backups before an update so you can restore the previous pack and world if a mod change makes the installation unbootable. Never delete the only copy of a world while troubleshooting.
Set up the pack on a managed host
Control panels differ, but the documented provider workflow has five important stages. Ask the host to confirm Minecraft 1.19.2, Forge support and the exact Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 server pack before uploading files.
- Create a Forge 1.19.2 server in the host’s panel. Do not choose Fabric, a different Minecraft release or a generic vanilla template.
- Stop the newly created server if the panel starts it automatically.
- Upload the Raspberry Flavoured server pack through FTP or SFTP, preserving every folder and file. Upload the server distribution, not your local client profile.
- Start the server once and wait for the host’s console to finish its initial file generation.
- Run
packwiz updatein the server console or shell provided by the host, and wait for the command to finish. - Stop the server after the update completes.
- Delete the
worldfolder generated by vanilla Minecraft. This step prevents the temporary vanilla world from being treated as the pack’s intended world. - Start the server again and monitor the console for Forge and mod-loading errors.
Do not assume that a host’s “Forge” button has selected Forge 43.5.1. Confirm the installed Forge build in the panel or startup log, and ask support how to set Java 17 or 21 if the panel does not expose a runtime selector.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
Use the Modrinth server-pack option
The project documentation provides a Modrinth mrpack because Raspberry Flavoured sources mods through Modrinth. This route still requires Forge 1.19.2 on the host.
- Choose a host that explicitly supports importing a Modrinth
mrpackinto a Forge 1.19.2 server. - Upload the official Raspberry Flavoured server
mrpackthrough the host’s Modrinth import tool or file interface. - Launch the server and wait for the import and first startup to complete.
- Use
packwiz updatefor later pack updates, following the host’s procedure for opening a console or shell.
If the host accepts only client-side Modrinth profiles, that is not the same as accepting a server pack. Confirm the distinction before committing to the service.

Run Raspberry Flavoured with Docker
Docker can make the deployment reproducible, but it is not the safest first choice for someone unfamiliar with container volumes and logs. The project author says Raspberry Flavoured was not tested in Docker and that support may be limited.
The documented example uses the itzg/minecraft-server image with these settings:

TYPE=FORGE
EULA=TRUE
VERSION=1.19.2
PACKWIZ_URL=${PACKWIZ_URL}
Set PACKWIZ_URL to the Raspberry Flavoured server pack’s Packwiz URL from the official project documentation; the exact URL is intentionally not reproduced here because it was not supplied in the available material. Persist the container’s Minecraft directory on a host volume, expose the Minecraft port through your firewall and back up that volume rather than relying on an ephemeral container filesystem.

A practical Docker validation sequence is:
- Confirm that the host has a supported Java-compatible image configuration and enough disk space for the pack and world.
- Start the container with
TYPE=FORGE,VERSION=1.19.2,EULA=TRUEand the official Packwiz URL. - Follow container logs until Forge and the mod list finish loading.
- Connect with a matching Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 client.
- Stop the container, back up the persistent volume and test an update procedure before scheduling unattended updates.
If the container repeatedly restarts, inspect its logs for the Java version, a malformed Packwiz URL, a read-only volume or a mod-loading exception. Do not assume that a Docker image problem is fixed by deleting the world; preserve logs and backups first.
Verify that the server is ready for players
- The server log identifies Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge 43.5.1.
- The updater completed without a download, checksum or permission error.
- The server remains running after the initial world load instead of exiting at the first mod error.
- A client using Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 can connect without a missing-mod or mismatched-version message.
- The world directory is the one created by the modded server, not a temporary vanilla world generated by a host panel.
- A restorable backup exists outside the live server directory.
Troubleshoot the most common failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | Corrective action |
|---|---|---|
| Process crashes immediately on startup | Unsupported Java, commonly Java 25 or newer | Switch the server to Java 17 or the documented Java 21 option, update JAVA_HOME and verify with java -version. |
| Forge or mods refuse to load | Wrong Minecraft or Forge version, or a client folder used as the server | Recreate the server from the dedicated pack and confirm Minecraft 1.19.2 with Forge 43.5.1. |
| Script says command not found or exits at once | Running outside the extracted directory, missing execute permission, wrong Java path or incomplete extraction | Open the terminal in the server directory, execute the platform’s supplied script, check Java and verify that all archive files were extracted. |
| Host starts a plain vanilla world | The panel launched its default server before the pack was imported | Stop it, run packwiz update, remove the generated world folder, then start the imported pack again. |
| Players see missing or mismatched mods | Client and server releases differ | Install Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1 with Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge 43.5.1 on the client, then reconnect. |
| Docker container loops or never becomes ready | Unsupported deployment, bad Packwiz URL, non-persistent volume or permissions issue | Read the container logs, verify the four documented environment values, mount a writable persistent directory and be prepared to seek project or image-specific help. |
How to evaluate a hosting provider
A low advertised price does not establish that a provider can run this pack reliably. Before ordering, obtain written answers to the following questions:
- Can the provider deploy Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1, not merely a similarly named or older template?
- Which Minecraft and Forge builds are installed, and can you select Java 17 or 21?
- Can you upload the official server pack over FTP/SFTP or import its Modrinth
mrpack? - Can you open a shell or server console to run
packwiz update? - Are automated and downloadable backups available, and can you restore a single world?
- Where are the machines located, what support hours apply, and what happens if the pack fails after an update?
- Does the advertised price recur monthly, and are setup, storage, transfer or backup fees separate?
One-click listings can save time, but verify the exact release and the update path before relying on them. A template that installs an old pack without exposing FTP, console access or backups can be harder to maintain than a manual deployment.
Best Value
Resource planning without a misleading RAM promise
The selected pack file contains 253 mods, but that count is not a measured RAM requirement. Actual memory and CPU use vary with world generation, loaded chunks, exploration distance, farms, view distance, player activity and the Java runtime. Because no authoritative RAM or player-count benchmark is provided, do not size a purchase from a generic “mods equals gigabytes” rule.
Instead, choose a machine or plan that lets you monitor memory, CPU, disk space and startup logs, then increase resources when those measurements show sustained pressure. Keep the world and backups on reliable storage; a small dedicated PC or SSD can be useful for a self-managed installation, but no particular hardware specification is required by the documented setup.
Safe update and recovery routine
- Announce maintenance and stop new player activity.
- Make and verify a dated backup of the world, server configuration and pack files.
- Apply the platform’s update method: the supplied update script for a self-managed server, or
packwiz updatefor the managed-host and Modrinth workflows. - Start the server privately and connect with one matching client.
- Check logs, world loading and key farms or exploration areas before reopening access.
- If the server fails, stop it, preserve the error log, restore the backup and return to the last working pack until the incompatibility is identified.
Bottom line
For most operators, the console-script route is the most transparent: Raspberry Flavoured 3.3.1, Minecraft 1.19.2, Forge 43.5.1, Java 17 or the documented Java 21 option, the dedicated server pack, and the supplied update/start scripts. A managed host is convenient when it supports FTP or SFTP, packwiz update, backups and the exact Forge build. Modrinth import is a valid alternative, while Docker should be treated as an advanced, community-supported deployment because the pack author has not tested it there.
