Is Red Dead Redemption on Netflix?
Yes. Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption for iOS and Android through Netflix Games on December 2, 2025. Netflix’s Tudum guide says subscribers can download it to a mobile device and play without ads or in-app purchases. This is a mobile game, not a Netflix film or series.

The release follows John Marston, a former outlaw forced to hunt down members of his old gang after his family is kidnapped. Set in 1911 across fictional versions of the American Southwest and Mexico, the story stands on its own; you do not need to play Red Dead Revolver or Red Dead Redemption 2 first.
What does the Netflix mobile version include?
The package contains the complete single-player Red Dead Redemption campaign and Undead Nightmare, the standalone zombie-themed expansion. Netflix describes the expansion as adding its own story and missions, along with a blunderbuss and the Four Horses of the Apocalypse. The mobile release also includes bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. Multiplayer is not included.

Do you need a Netflix subscription?
Yes. You need an active Netflix membership to play the Netflix Games version. Netflix says it has no ads or in-app purchases for subscribers. This is access through a membership, not a separate purchase of the mobile game; the Netflix games support page explains how Netflix Games works.

Android requirements
Rockstar’s support page lists selected Android devices that support particular graphics modes, not a complete minimum compatibility list. Check the game’s current Google Play listing on your own device to confirm whether it is available and supported in your region.

How are the mobile controls and graphics handled?
Touchscreen play is supported, and Rockstar documents three editable layouts: Classic, Revolver, and Cascade. You can reposition buttons and adjust their size and opacity. Rockstar also describes Fidelity and Performance graphics modes on supported devices. Its device examples concern those graphics options, so they should not be treated as a full list of compatible phones or tablets.

No. Netflix is the mobile membership-based option; console editions are separate products. Rockstar’s Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade information discusses the physical Nintendo Switch cartridge and a free upgrade for cartridge owners. That console route is independent of Netflix access and is not needed to play on a supported phone or tablet.
