REMATCH is Sloclap’s competitive multiplayer football game, not a Sifu sequel. It launched day one with Xbox Game Pass. The final beta, which began May 28, 2025, is over; the current US Xbox listing shows purchase and cloud-play options, with access terms depending on subscription and region.
What is REMATCH?
Sloclap, the studio behind the 2022 kung fu brawler Sifu, made REMATCH as a separate competitive football game. Sloclap describes it as fast-paced 5v5 multiplayer action. It is not a continuation or sequel to Sifu. Sloclap’s studio page

Did REMATCH come to Xbox Game Pass?
Yes. Xbox Wire reported that REMATCH launched day one with Game Pass. The current US Xbox store listing also shows cloud play under Game Pass Essential, Premium and Ultimate. The US listing provides both a purchase route and cloud play through the listed Game Pass tiers. Playing online on an Xbox console requires an eligible multiplayer subscription. The listing identifies Xbox Series X|S support; it does not establish that console online multiplayer is included with every way to access the game.
When was the REMATCH beta?
The final beta began May 28, 2025, and ran through May 31. It was for Xbox Insiders on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, so the announcement that it would “begin soon” referred to that 2025 test, not a current or upcoming beta. Xbox Wire, May 28, 2025

How many people have played REMATCH?
Xbox Wire reported on July 24, 2025, that the game had passed 3 million Xbox players since release, including its day-one Game Pass launch. Separately, Sloclap’s studio page says REMATCH had more than 6 million unique players within three months of its 2025 release. These are different measures reported by different sources; the Xbox player figure and the studio’s unique-player figure should not be treated as directly comparable.

Sloclap describes REMATCH as available on PlayStation, PC and Xbox. The Xbox store page specifically lists the Xbox Series X|S version and its current US purchase and cloud-play details.
