Identify the arena first: target the flamethrower’s fuel tank on the rooftop, punish Nemesis’s wall run at Clock Tower Plaza, use the Disposal Center generators when Carlos calls them out, and stun the final form before resetting the power cells.
Quick guide to each Nemesis fight

Rooftop: destroy the flamethrower’s fuel tank
Keep your distance and use the construction materials as cover while Nemesis attacks with the flamethrower. Look for a clear shot at the cylindrical tank on his back when his movement or attack gives you an opening. The tank is the priority: firing grenade-launcher rounds while he is unstunned can miss because he dodges. Once the tank is destroyed, the flamethrower phase ends. Nemesis becomes more aggressive, using the remains as a club and charging at you. Keep space and attack during openings rather than trying to trade blows.
Clock Tower Plaza: punish the wall run
Nemesis starts on all fours and attacks quickly. Keep moving and dodge when he winds up. The key opening comes when he runs along the arena walls: fire a grenade-launcher mine round into his route. The blast knocks him down and exposes the weak point on his chest, giving you a window to follow up with damage.

Save your mine rounds for that wall-running attack. If he reaches the top of the tower, be ready to move away from his leap. Explosive or flame rounds may help interrupt him during the ground phase, but guides differ on how much to rely on them; they are options, not a required loadout. Disposal Center: use the generators during the fight
Keep moving and watch Nemesis’s posture for tentacle attacks. When he backs up and crouches, expect a tentacle throw; a jump or slash is also a cue to dodge. Explosive rounds are useful for stunning him, while flame rounds cause ongoing damage, according to GameSpot’s 2020 NEST 2 guide.

When Carlos joins and Nemesis circles the outer arena, listen for Carlos’s callout and shoot the red panels on the generator he indicates. The electrical burst knocks Nemesis down. Use that opening to attack the exposed red chest or heart. Keep an eye on the chutes as well: zombies can drop into the arena, including during the generator phase. Final arena: stun Nemesis, then reset the power cells
At the start of the final fight, turn around, pick up the rail gun, and fire it at Nemesis. Several power cells then overload and need to be pushed back into place. Do not run straight to the cells while Nemesis is still active.

Instead, shoot the exposed orange-pink sacs on his body to stun him. Use the stun window to reset as many power cells as you can safely reach, then repeat the sequence: hit the sacs, reset cells during the opening. Accurate handgun or magnum fire can work against the sacs, as described in GameSpot’s 2020 NEST 2 walkthrough. The number of cells you can push into place during one stun varies with the time available and difficulty; there is no universal count.

The 2020 remake gives Nemesis distinct forms and arena mechanics rather than one tactic that works throughout. The fuel tank, wall-running route, called-out generators, and exposed sacs are separate openings. Recognizing which one is active is more useful than spending ammunition on his body without a clear opportunity.
