Its historical unlock time depended on platform and region: most console regions started at local midnight, while PC followed a global schedule.
When did Resident Evil Requiem release?
Capcom announced February 27, 2026, as the release date for Resident Evil Requiem. That date has passed; Capcom later confirmed the game was available by April 17, 2026. Capcom’s announcement gave the February 27 date, and its post-launch notice confirmed availability.

A Steam storefront listing may show February 26 in some date displays. That does not necessarily conflict with Capcom’s announced date: the local calendar date can differ when a global unlock occurs in the evening in North America. Steam’s listing displays the storefront date; use the platform and time zone to interpret the historical unlock.
What time did it unlock in each time zone?
The following are historical launch times, not upcoming countdown times. Windows Central’s February 25, 2026 report reproduces a chart attributed to Capcom. It shows most console regions unlocking at midnight local time, with a listed Pacific-time exception, while PC used a global schedule.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon Exclusive - 2 sided poster included in every game!
- Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who is introverted and easily scared, representing a new type of character for the Resident Evil series. Grace will experience horror from the same perspective as the player as she learns to overcome her fears throughout the course of the story.
- For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.

The PC entries are different time-zone expressions of the same global unlock. The console schedule was not identical everywhere; the chart lists regional and platform exceptions. For other locations—including CET, SAST, AST, SGT, KST, JST and NZDT—consult the complete chart in Windows Central’s February 25, 2026 report rather than extrapolating from the midnight-local rule.
