Yes—MotoGP 25 gives Career Mode more to do between race weekends. Season Turning Points, bike evolution, rider relationships, and Race Off training make a rider’s progress feel more connected. A 30-hour PC review found the additions welcome, though the fitness system’s effect on performance was unclear and the training events did not stand out as compelling activities on their own. That makes this a qualified improvement, not a reason to expect every part of the career to feel deeper.
What changes in MotoGP 25 Career Mode?
MotoGP 25, released April 30, 2025, builds its career around more than race results. The game adds three connected systems: choices during the season, development of the bike, and relationships with other riders away from the track. These features are described by the publisher as part of a renewed Career Mode, but their presence alone does not establish how much each choice changes a player’s eventual career path.

- Turning Points: Season events give players decisions to make as a career unfolds.
- Bike evolution: The bike develops over the course of the career.
- Rider relationships: Social interactions and training provide an off-track dimension to progress.
Milestone and MotoGP’s feature descriptions emphasize choice and progression, but do not provide a controlled comparison showing how consequential these systems are relative to MotoGP 24. For players considering an upgrade, the clearest supported difference is the addition of these career elements—not proof that every season decision produces a dramatically different outcome. What do Race Off training events add?
Career Mode incorporates Race Off events built around three disciplines: minibikes, flat track, and motard. They are also available as standalone events. The developer presents them as a more relaxed, off-track part of a rider’s life, with training intended to improve physical performance and relationships. Game Director Matteo Pezzotti described the goal as giving players a break from the tension of official MotoGP races and a different environment in which to have fun. That is the design intention, rather than an independently measured effect on performance.

In a hands-on review, TechRadar’s reviewer said the events raised fitness and relationships and were a useful way to make career progress. However, they found the effect of fitness on performance difficult to discern, and did not feel strongly compelled to master Race Off as an activity in its own right. The practical distinction is important: a player may value the events as part of career progression without finding each discipline engaging enough to pursue separately. Xbox Wire’s interview with Pezzotti describes the developer’s intent and says the modes are available online and offline.
Does the career feel better in practice?
TechRadar’s reviewer played 30 hours of the PC version across four seasons, spent time with both Arcade and Pro handling, and devoted most of that play to Career Mode. They called the training events a compelling addition to the career, while also noting that the fitness system did not clearly communicate its performance impact. Those observations support a measured verdict: MotoGP 25 has more connective tissue between race weekends, but the evidence does not show that every new system is equally satisfying or changes the course of a career in a clearly visible way.

The review also provides context for the broader riding experience. Arcade handling was more approachable than the demanding simulation style of recent entries, but the reviewer missed some setup and tire-choice options in Pro mode and found Arcade AI too easy. These are one reviewer’s judgments, not universal performance findings. If your main reason to play is Career Mode, handling still matters: the career additions can make the season more varied, but they sit alongside the game’s riding and difficulty choices.
Is MotoGP 25 worth it if you mainly play Career Mode?
It is a more attractive option for players who want a career with activities and relationships beyond race weekends. The strongest case is the combination of season Turning Points, bike development, and off-track training—not any one Race Off discipline by itself. If you mainly want a transparent, highly consequential progression system, the available review evidence is less conclusive: it praises the additions but questions how clearly fitness affects performance.

There is not enough evidence here for a controlled MotoGP 24-versus-MotoGP 25 comparison. Treat the new career systems as a meaningful feature change, then weigh them against your preference for Arcade or Pro handling and whether optional training sounds enjoyable or like another progression task.
