What did RGG Studio Direct 2025 announce?
SEGA’s September 24, 2025 announcement introduced Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, a package combining two distinct stories. Yakuza Kiwami 3
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is SEGA’s remake and reimagining of Yakuza 3, originally released in 2009. It revisits the earlier game rather than presenting an unrelated new entry.
Dark Ties
Dark Ties is a new story centered on Yoshitaka Mine, who was an antagonist in Yakuza 3. SEGA presented it as a separate game within the combined package, not simply as an extra chapter of the remake.

What did the dedicated RGG Direct cover?
SEGA describes RGG Direct as a developer-led program that presents detailed game information, including battle styles and side content. Its notice for the dedicated Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Direct said the presentation would explore new features, experiences, and gameplay, including Mine’s separate story. SEGA’s Direct notice
Keep the events distinct: the September 24 announcement came from RGG Summit, while the dedicated game Direct was later scheduled for December 23. The official notices establish those announcements and the Direct’s intended focus, but they do not provide a complete item-by-item record of everything covered across RGG Studio Direct 2025. Platforms and release status
SEGA announced the game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with a February 12, 2026 release date. SEGA subsequently confirmed that it was out on that date for those platforms. SEGA’s launch announcement
