Riders Republic is worth considering if you want a broad, social arcade-sports playground—not a deep simulation of any one sport. Its mix of biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuiting and rocket wingsuiting gives you plenty to explore, and its accessible handling suits quick races and stunts. Reviewers’ main reservations are that some controls feel basic, bike events are less satisfying than snow sports, and the loud presentation and checklist-style progression will not suit everyone.
What reviewers think of Riders Republic
Metacritic currently displays a 77/100 Metascore from 51 critic reviews, classified as generally favorable, and a 6.8/10 user score from 254 ratings. These figures were checked on October 8, 2026, and can change as ratings or review counts change. They signal a broadly positive but not unanimous reception; the arguments behind the scores are more useful than the numbers alone. Metacritic’s Riders Republic reviews

PC Gamer reviewer Phil Iwaniuk gave the PC version 71/100 in a review published November 2, 2021. He described it as “Extreme sports made accessible to the point of basic. It’s got a tin ear but a big heart.” That captures the divide: simplified controls can make the sports approachable, but players looking for more technical handling may find them shallow. Iwaniuk also found the stunt exploration enjoyable, while criticizing bike handling, inconsistent ground collisions, and a presentation that may not land for everyone. These are the reviewer’s judgments about the PC version at the time, not a performance test of every platform or a claim about the current build. PC Gamer’s Riders Republic review
What you do in the game
Riders Republic sets several outdoor sports in a shared open world. Ubisoft lists downhill races, team competitions, PvP modes and events, mass races, and social hubs, alongside cross-play and cross-progression. You can roam and pursue individual progression, or take part in competitive and social activities with other players. The official page identifies Season 20, dated June 18, 2026. #1 Best Overall
- Battle against over 50 players simultaneously in a massive multiplayer playground.
- Compete in an all-out mass start race—collide, grind, and fight your way to the finish
- Customize your character to show off your style to your friends or show up the competition.
- Bike, ski, snowboard, or wingsuit through a seamless open world in Career mode or multiplayer events.
- Go wild on the heights of iconic US national parks like Yosemite, Zion, and Bryce Canyon.
The sports are biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuiting and rocket wingsuiting. Ubisoft’s 2021 launch announcement described five career tracks, with gear earned as you progress, customizable riders, sponsors and invitations to named competitions such as Red Bull Rampage and the X Games. That announcement explains the launch-era structure; its Year 1 plans are historical, not a guide to what is still upcoming. Ubisoft’s launch announcement
Where the game succeeds—and where it may frustrate
Variety and easy entry
The main draw is the range of activities in one place. If you enjoy switching between sports, exploring for stunts and jumping into races, the variety gives the game a strong arcade-playground feel. The simplified approach also lowers the barrier to getting started.

- Jump into the riders Republic massive multiplayer playground.
- Meet and compete with other players, ride hard with an exciting range of activities such as bike, ski, snowboard, wingsuit and Rocket wingsuit.
- Create and shape your own rider through evolutive, progression-based gear and define every aspect of your avatar.
- Riders Republic will run at 60 FPS on next gen consoles and display more than 50 players simultaneously live on screen.Make a name for yourself in a variety of sports, rise to the top of the leaderboard in career mode.
Handling and depth
That accessibility comes with a trade-off. Iwaniuk found the handling models basic, with bike events weaker than snow sports and a limited vocabulary of ground tricks and control. Players who want precise, discipline-specific mechanics may find that the breadth does not make each sport equally rewarding. His review also notes inconsistent collision detection on the ground, which can disrupt a run.
Progression and presentation
Progression gives you gear and career goals to pursue, but a steady stream of objectives can feel like a checklist rather than a compelling reason to continue. The energetic tone and music are also divisive: they may energize a session, or feel overdone if you prefer a quieter sports game.
Rank #3
- In snow-covered mountains or deep canyons, you can experience the wonderful destinations of American national parks
- Players take their own path in Riders Republic. You will receive new equipment when ascent and can personalise your game character
- Players are offered a wide selection of various multiplayer modes, such as Trick Challenges, multiplayer arenas, online cups and many more

That store label does not establish whether an online connection is required for a particular activity or whether career progression is fully playable offline. Check Ubisoft’s current support information for your platform and intended mode before buying if offline access is essential. The store also flags “Users Interact” and “In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items).”

It is a stronger fit if you want a colorful, multiplayer-friendly game where you can move between several outdoor sports, explore, and pursue races or stunts without first mastering simulation-style controls. It is a weaker fit if you want realistic handling, especially for bikes, or a focused and technically deep treatment of a single sport.
