Riot’s League of Legends trading card game is called Riftbound. It turns the game’s characters and setting into a physical tabletop TCG, with ready-to-play decks for learning and booster packs for collecting or building decks. Riot first announced the project as Project K, then introduced the Riftbound name in March 2025.
What is the League of Legends trading card game?
Riftbound is Riot’s physical trading card game set in the League of Legends universe. It is a separate tabletop project—not a physical version of Legends of Runeterra. The “teamfights in the real world” idea is a shorthand for bringing League characters and its setting to face-to-face card play; the available product information does not establish that Riftbound reproduces the computer game’s mechanics.
Riot initially announced the game under the working name Project K. Riot’s current store listings use the name Riftbound: League of Legends TCG.
How can you start playing Riftbound?

How are booster displays different from ready-to-play decks?
A booster display contains packs, not a pair of preconstructed decks and a rulebook. Riot describes its Radiance Booster Display as a product for building a deck and collecting cards. The listing identifies Radiance as Riftbound’s fifth set and specifies a 180-card pool; each display contains 24 boosters, with 14 cards in each booster.

Check the product format and contents before buying: a display of boosters should not be mistaken for the ready-to-play two-deck package.

What is known about Riftbound’s release and distribution?
On February 24, 2025, Riot named UVS Games its official publishing and distribution partner for Project K. At that time, Riot said it planned to reach many English-speaking countries in 2025 and expand into additional global regions in 2026. Those were plans announced at the time, not confirmation that every region now has a release or available stock.
For current availability, use product listings and local retailer information rather than relying on that announcement timeline alone.
