How to compare Abyss tube stats
- Oxygen is the reported capacity for staying out exploring before returning.
- Maximum depth indicates how deep a tube can take you and helps determine which routes are accessible.
- Speed is the listed movement speed.
- Weight is carrying capacity for fish and tools; more capacity can help on longer collection routes.
Choose around the route’s limiting need: depth, oxygen, speed, or load. A tube that leads on one stat is not necessarily best for every run.

Which tube should you choose?
For early progression
Pro Game Guides recommends Normal as an early-game option and Pufferfish for early-to-mid progression in its February 25, 2026 snapshot. Treat that as dated route advice rather than a universal ranking: the right upgrade depends on where you are going and what you need to carry.
For deep routes and longer runs
Check that a tube’s listed max depth covers the target route, then compare oxygen and weight. In the current indexed table, Crystal has the highest listed oxygen (550), depth (1,050m), and weight (800kg). That makes it the table leader on those three measures, not automatically the best choice for every route.

For speed
Banana has the highest listed speed in the current table at 34/s. The February Pro Game Guides snapshot also identified Banana as the fastest among the 15 tubes it covered. Speed alone does not establish the best overall tube.

The February guide describes Lost Spirit as a practical late-game option before unlocking end-game tubes. That progression advice is tied to its older snapshot; compare its depth and other stats against the route you plan to run.

Why reported values and locations can differ
Community references are snapshots, not a permanent official specification. The Abyss Wiki update log records tube-stat changes, including a Bath Tube balance adjustment. Sources vary on some older entries, notably Oxy’s price and speed, Bath’s price and stats, and Boat, Plane, and Ruined acquisition details.
For example, the current indexed table lists Oxy at $57,500, while another guide reports a higher price; Lost Spirit is listed here at $168,750, while sources also report rounded or lower figures. Bath values likewise differ between sources after balance changes. Use the table as a practical reference, then confirm the displayed shop price, stats, and unlock requirements in your current game.
