To farm a specific rune in The Forge on Roblox, target its reported enemy, then confirm the current drop and chance in your inventory’s Index → Enemies entry before committing to a route. Runes are reported as enemy drops—not rewards from mining ores or standard chests. To use one, unlock a compatible gear slot with the Enhancer, then socket it at a Runemaker.
The routes and slot thresholds below come from unofficial player guides and wikis, so treat them as route-planning information rather than guaranteed live-game data. Enemy drops, chances, and mechanics can change; the in-game Index and item screen are the best checks before you farm or spend resources. AllThings.How’s rune guide, updated December 4, 2025, and the fan-made Forge Database provide the reported details.

Where to check rune drops in The Forge
- Open your inventory.
- Choose Index, then open Enemies.
- Select the enemy you plan to farm and inspect its listed rune drops and chances.
Check the live entry when you enter the game and again after updates. Third-party drop rates are estimates, not official guarantees. The Index is especially useful where unofficial rune lists disagree about whether an item is obtainable or which enemy drops it.

Where to farm the commonly targeted runes
Miner Shard: Bombers or Delver Zombies
For a reported better per-enemy chance, try Bomber Skeleton pockets in the Forgotten Kingdom. Delver Zombies are an alternative if their faster, denser spawns produce more attempts for your route. The Database estimates about 1/15 from Bombers and 1/35 from Delver Zombies; those fan-reported rates may not reflect the current game. Compare the live Index chance with spawn volume, and inspect each shard because its mining trait is rolled.
Blast Chip: Bomber Skeletons
Target Bombers. Rather than waiting at one spawn, clear nearby skeletons too: the matching guide reports that enemy variants can rotate through shared spawn points. The Database’s approximate 1/10 chance is an estimate, so use the Index for the live figure.

Flame Spark and Briar Notch: Deathaxe clusters
Clear Deathaxe Skeleton groups for these reported drops. The matching guide also identifies Elite Deathaxe Skeletons as a route to higher-rarity versions. Reapers and Blazing Slimes are additional reported Flame Spark sources, though the guides differ on exact availability and geography.

Rage Mark and Drain Edge: deeper combat targets
Look for Elite Rogue Skeletons for Rage Mark and Reapers for Drain Edge. These are described as deeper or elite encounters, so choose them only if your character and equipment can handle the fight efficiently.

Choose a route by chance, volume, and risk
- Use the Index’s current drop chance rather than treating fan-wiki estimates as fixed rates.
- Consider how many enemies you can defeat and how quickly variants respawn or rotate at a spawn point.
- Account for whether the target is safely farmable at your current level and gear.
- Check that the rune’s rolled effect and the gear you intend to socket it into match your goal.
How rune slots and socketing work
The reported process is to enhance equipment to unlock a slot, then visit a Runemaker to attach the rune. The matching guide places a Runemaker in Stonewake’s Cross Village; the Database also reports one in the Forgotten Kingdom. At the Runemaker, choose the gear and item, select the rune, and pay the coin cost shown in the interface. The matching guide says detached runes can be reused, while the Database reports a fee for detaching.

Enhancement is reported to use Essence and Gold. The Database says a failed enhancement consumes materials without reducing the item’s level, but costs and outcomes can depend on the gear and are not fully verified here. Check the Enhancer’s displayed requirements and the item’s slots before spending.

How to choose runes for gear
- Pickaxes: Favor a Miner Shard whose rolled mining trait supports your goal, such as speed, yield, luck, or power.
- Weapons: Consider offensive effects such as burn, explosion damage, life steal, or Rage Mark’s low-health trigger, depending on the activity.
- Armor: Defensive effects such as reflected damage or damage reduction may suit a survivability-focused setup, if the rune is available and compatible.
Secondary traits are reported to be random rather than selectable. Do not socket a rune expecting a particular secondary stat; review the item and rune details in-game, and account for the displayed cost if detaching and reattaching to pursue another roll.
