On PC, the documented options for The Outer Worlds 2 are a trainer app with toggle-based cheats or community mods that enable a developer-style console and additional utilities. The console is not a built-in menu in the documented setup: using it requires installing the Console Enabler mod. Its published installation steps cover Steam, while Game Pass is marked unavailable.
Which cheat method should you use?
| Method | How it works | What the documentation covers |
|---|---|---|
| WeMod trainer | Open the game through the Windows app, load into the game, then toggle available cheats. | WeMod says it detects the game version and indicates whether it is supported. See the WeMod trainer page. |
| Console Enabler and BP ModLoader | Install a community mod that enables the developer console and supports Blueprint mod loading. | Installation steps are provided for Steam; Game Pass installation is marked “N/A.” See the Console Enabler documentation. |
| Other community utilities | Separate mods add features such as flycam, time controls, actor watch, and screenshots. | Each utility has its own installation and configuration requirements. See the FreeCam and Teleport documentation. |
Choose the trainer for an app-based toggle workflow. Choose the console or another mod if you specifically want console access or the features listed on that mod’s page. These methods are not interchangeable: the trainer is an app, while console access depends on a community modification.

These are the provider’s published instructions, not a guarantee for every game update or setup. The cited page does not establish universal compatibility, save behavior, achievement behavior, or a measured reliability rate.
Installing the Console Enabler on Steam
The Console Enabler and BP ModLoader is a community mod, not an option exposed by the standard game setup. Its documentation describes it as a bootstrapper: follow the readme for any compatible mod that requires it.

The Console Enabler’s purpose is to expose the console and support Blueprint mod loading; it is not itself a documented, universal cheat list. The mod author warns: “Not all console commands will work, some are contextual!” A command’s availability or effect can depend on context, so do not assume every command will work in every situation.
