Combat uses full 360-degree aiming, with weapon changes forming part of the action. The result is a game where traversal and fighting both ask you to manage movement and aim, rather than relying only on conventional jumps and platforming.
Is Rusted Moss hard?
The grapple has an explicit learning curve. The official Steam description says, “The grappling hook is hard to learn yet rewarding to master.” That points to a specific challenge: learning how the elastic tether and momentum respond, then using them deliberately while navigating and fighting.

What is the story and setting?
According to the publisher’s synopsis, Fern is a changeling raised by humans who sets out with her companion Puck as the fae seek to return to the world and the Age of Men approaches its end. The setting is a melancholic, post-apocalyptic landscape of rusting human machinery, witches using stolen fae magic, and a fae incursion.

Steam shows an April 11, 2023 release date, while PLAYISM lists April 12, 2023 for Steam and June 20, 2024 for the console editions; the official sources do not explain the one-day Steam-date difference. Updates have also arrived on different schedules: official announcements describe substantial free additions after launch and an October 2025 console update featuring two new areas and boss fights, playable Ameli, and a reworked Robin fight. Do not assume every edition has identical patch timing.

Will it run on your PC?
