PC Gamer’s giveaway history records Rustler as free from January 22 through January 29, 2026. The dates refer to that past promotion, not an ongoing offer. Epic’s official product listing confirms the game is on its storefront, but does not establish that the historical giveaway is still active.

What is Rustler (Grand Theft Horse)?
Rustler is a single-player, top-down open-world action game that applies familiar Grand Theft Auto-style mischief to a deliberately inaccurate medieval setting. You play as a peasant known as The Guy, taking on missions or wandering freely, stealing horses, fighting guards with weapons such as swords and crossbows, and encountering anachronistic jokes. Jutsu Games developed the game; Steam lists Games Operators, Modus Games, and PlayWay S.A. as publishers. Steam gives its release date as February 18, 2021.

Steam also notes that its client supports Windows 10 and later starting January 1, 2024. That is a Steam Client compatibility note, not a change to Rustler’s published minimum operating-system requirement.
