How to use Sage’s Will
- Collect four Sage’s Wills.
- Visit a Goddess Statue—the same kind used to exchange resources for Heart or Stamina upgrades.
- Choose the Sage’s Will option, then select the Sage to strengthen.
According to GamesRadar+’s guide, each Sage can receive this upgrade once. The five choices are Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, Riju, and Mineru, so all 20 listed Wills are enough to upgrade each one once.

What the upgrade changes
The upgrade increases the selected Sage’s attack damage. GameWith describes the effect as applying to normal attacks and skill attacks. The cited guides do not establish that it reduces cooldowns, extends ability duration, or unlocks a new ability tier; the supported benefit is stronger attacks.
Which Sage should you upgrade first?
There is no required order. Pick the Sage whose attacks you use and value most. GamesRadar+ recommends Tulin, reasoning that his ranged attacks are more likely to connect than the other Sages’ melee attacks. That is the guide’s editorial recommendation, not a universal result established by controlled testing.

Sources and scope
The location names, coordinates, and collection approaches are from GamesRadar+’s 2023 game guide; GameWith’s guide, updated August 31, 2023, also describes the attack-enhancement effect and names the eligible Sages. Nintendo’s official pages establish the game and platform context, but do not document these mechanics or verify the coordinate list. The detailed location and upgrade information here is therefore attributed to the game guides, not presented as a Nintendo-published list.
Quick Recap
Rank #4
- Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
- Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
- Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
- Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
