If SANABI crashes and your PC is below the game’s listed specifications, try the built-in low-spec mode first. For a crash at one particular story scene, a player reported a separate V-sync workaround—but it is anecdotal and not a general fix. Check the requirements below, then contact SANABI support if neither situation applies.
Check your PC against SANABI’s listed requirements
Valve’s SANABI Steam listing gives minimum and recommended specifications. These are published requirements, not a guarantee that the game will run without crashes.

Compare your system across all six categories. Steam’s client support is a separate issue from the game’s listed minimum: Valve says the Steam client supports Windows 10 and later as of January 1, 2024. That does not change SANABI’s published minimum OS. See the SANABI Steam listing and Steam’s SANABI technical support page.
Try SANABI’s low-spec mode if your PC is below spec
The strongest game-specific troubleshooting step is the setting added in SANABI version 1.3.20. In update notes dated December 19, 2023, the SANABI Team said players experiencing crashes due to low system specifications could resolve the issue by opting to play in low-spec mode in the settings. The notes also mention memory-use optimization. This remedy is specifically tied to crashes associated with low specifications; it is not established as a fix for every crash.

- Open SANABI’s in-game settings.
- Enable low-spec mode.
- Resume play and see whether the crash recurs.
The exact menu label or navigation path beyond “in the settings” is not specified in the update notes. The 1.3.20 notes are reproduced by SteamDB.
If the crash happens at the big-worm elevator scene
A Steam Community thread describes a crash after the big worm encounter, when Mari gets the gold key and asks the player to enter the elevator. In that discussion, a player said turning V-sync off until the scene ended helped. Treat this as an unverified, scene-specific workaround—not an official solution or a recommendation for unrelated crashes.

- Turn V-sync off in the game’s settings before reaching the scene, if possible.
- Try to get past the elevator scene.
- Turn V-sync back on afterward if you prefer it enabled.
In the same discussion, another reply suggested holding ESC for four seconds, but the original poster said it did not fix the crash. The later V-sync suggestion received a thank-you from another user; that exchange does not establish that it works consistently. Read the Steam Community discussion.

The available sources do not establish a general fix for launch crashes, crashes on PCs that meet the listed requirements, or crashes at other points in the game. Steam lists SANABI support at [email protected] and links to a customer support page.

When reporting the problem, include when the crash occurs, your operating system and PC specifications, whether it happens every time, and which troubleshooting steps you have tried. That gives support concrete details to assess without assuming the cause.
