SCP: Secret Laboratory commands run in one of two places: the in-game Remote Admin panel, opened by pressing M by default, or your hosting dashboard’s server LocalAdmin console. Remote Admin text commands are restricted by the permissions attached to your role; the LocalAdmin console is intended to have full permissions. Use help and help <command> in the server you are operating, because syntax and available commands can change with updates.
How SCP: Secret Laboratory server commands work
The game separates administrative command execution into two contexts. Understanding that distinction explains most permission errors and many apparently missing commands.

In-game Remote Admin
Press M while connected as a staff member to open Remote Admin. The panel combines clickable controls with a text console. Text-Based Remote Admin commands require your role to hold the relevant permission. A role may have only part of a command’s authority, so being able to open the panel does not mean every command is available.

Your hosting dashboard’s console is the server’s LocalAdmin console. Hosting documentation describes it as having full permissions, so an in-game rank is not required there. Enter commands directly in that console. If a provider exposes Remote Admin commands through its dashboard, follow that provider’s required prefix or routing rule rather than assuming the in-game format will work unchanged.

Why the list can change
There is no permanent, version-independent command count. Updates, server builds and installed extensions can add, remove or alter commands. Run help for the live list and help <command> for the exact syntax accepted by your current server.
Check access before using a command
- Open Remote Admin with M, or focus the LocalAdmin console in your hosting dashboard.
- Run
permin Remote Admin to display the permissions attached to your current role. - Run
groupsto list configured roles and their permissions. These commands require the wildcard*permission in the built-in table. - Run
help <command>immediately before using unfamiliar syntax, especially after a game update. - Confirm that the target identifier is the type the command expects. Most player-management commands use the player’s current server ID; offline bans accept an IP, SteamID or Discord ID as specified below.
Remote Admin roles and their scopes are configured in config_remoteadmin.txt. Permission names are abbreviated in the command reference, so a role can appear to have administrative access while still lacking a specific capability.

The following inventory preserves the documented syntax, aliases and permission codes. A cell marked “not stated” means the reference does not assign a code; do not infer that the command is unrestricted. Use the live help output as the final authority for your build.

Permission codes explained
The permission matrix groups capabilities by function. These are the codes you will encounter when checking a role or diagnosing a denied command.
| Code | Scope | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| BN1 / BN2 / BN3 | Ban tiers | Short-term, up-to-day and long-term banning levels. |
| PLM | Player management | Disarm, HP changes, inventory inspection, release and room teleport. |
| PRM | Permission management | Editing groups and stopping the next round. |
| FCM | Facility management | Overcharge controls. |
| BRC | Broadcast and intercom | Broadcast, intercom voice and intercom text. |
| ANN | Announcements | C.A.S.S.I.E. commands. |
| CFG | Server configuration | Reading and reloading configuration. |
| SCC | Server-console command access | Round-time display. |
| ATC | Administrator chat | The @<text> command. |
| FFT | Friendly-fire detector | Inspecting, pausing and resuming detection. |
| SGR | Group assignment | Temporary player group changes. |
| * | Wildcard | Commands such as groups and perm. |
Permission scope is role-based. A server owner can edit the role definitions in config_remoteadmin.txt, but granting a broad role also grants every capability included in that role. Give staff only the codes they need.
What you can do through the graphical Remote Admin panel
Several common actions are buttons rather than text commands. The documented panel sections include:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Player data: name, server ID, SteamID64, current role and HP.
- Role management: changing a player’s role or applying administrative roles.
- Inventory: viewing and managing a player’s carried items.
- Moderation: player discipline and removal controls.
- Administration: Overwatch, god mode, bypass, teleport, heal and noclip.
- Rounds and events: starting or restarting rounds, respawning MTF or Chaos and controlling the Alpha Warhead.
These controls use the same permission model as text commands. If a button is disabled or an action is rejected, inspect perm and the role’s configuration rather than repeatedly clicking it.

Common command tasks
Ban an online player
- Identify the player’s current server ID in the player list.
- Announce the action with
broadcast <length> <text>if other players need warning. - Run
ban <playerID> <length>in Remote Admin or LocalAdmin. - If the server rejects the command, check whether your role has BN1, BN2 or BN3 and whether that tier permits the duration you entered.
Ban someone who is offline
Use oban with the identifier you actually possess: oban <userIP> <duration> <reason>, oban <steamID> <duration> <reason> or the Discord-ID form shown in the command table. Verify the identifier carefully; an IP ban and an account ban affect different future connections.
Teleport to a room
- Run
ridlistor its aliasrids. - Copy the exact room ID from the output.
- Run
roomtp <roomID>,rtp <roomID>orridtps <roomID>.
This command teleports the command user. For moving another player, use the Remote Admin teleport control and the appropriate player-management permission.
Change or inspect health
To set a player’s exact HP, run hp <playerID> <value> with PLM access. The graphical Heal control is the safer choice when you want the panel’s normal healing action rather than an exact numeric value.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Inspect a player’s inventory
Run playerinventory <playerID> or any documented alias: playerinv, pinv or pinventory. Use the graphical Inventory section when you need to manage items rather than merely inspect them.

Spawn and remove a toy object
Use spawntoy primitiveobject <shape> <color> <size> to create a primitive object. Run destroytoy to remove objects made by that command. The built-in table does not list a general text command for spawning gameplay items; item management is exposed through the graphical inventory tools or by a compatible extension.
Safe operation and disruptive actions
Announce disruptive changes before executing them. A short broadcast gives players time to finish a fight, save evidence or leave a controlled area. Hosting guidance specifically warns that roundrestart and warhead instant, when available on the server, act immediately. Treat those as irreversible for the current round: verify the target, announce the action with bc, then execute it only from the intended console.
- Use
help <command>before relying on syntax after an update. - Prefer the least powerful permission that completes the task.
- Test configuration changes in a quiet round before applying them during an event.
- Record the player ID, reason and duration for moderation actions.
- Do not assume an alias works in every extension or provider console; confirm it in live help.
Plugins and extension commands
LabAPI is the official API framework for SCP: Secret Laboratory server plugins. A plugin can add its own commands, aliases and permission checks. Those commands are not part of the built-in Remote Admin table, so their syntax must be learned from the specific plugin’s documentation or its own help output. A permission error on a plugin command may come from the plugin’s group system rather than config_remoteadmin.txt.
Troubleshooting command failures
“You do not have permission”
Run perm in Remote Admin and compare the result with the command’s code. Ask an owner to adjust the role in config_remoteadmin.txt, or run the command from the LocalAdmin console if your operating procedure permits it.
Best Value
- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
“Unknown command”
Run help to confirm the command exists on this build. If it is absent, check whether it belongs to a plugin, was renamed in an update or requires a provider-specific prefix.
“Invalid arguments”
Run help <command> and copy the argument order exactly. Common mistakes include using a display name instead of a server ID, omitting the required duration or reason, and supplying a room label instead of the ID returned by ridlist.
The command works in one console but not the other
Remote Admin applies your in-game role. LocalAdmin is the server console and is documented as full-permission. Provider wrappers can also alter routing, so check the dashboard’s command instructions when the same text behaves differently.
A disruptive command produced an unexpected result
Stop issuing additional commands, check the live round state and notify players. For future use, announce first, verify the exact target and use the smallest-scope command available.
