SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS’ 2025 management-meeting materials listed cumulative full-game sales for 11 titles across fiscal years FY2020/3 through FY2025/3. Persona 5 Royal, including its remaster, topped the table at 7.25 million units. The figures were reported as exposed when a gray overlay in a public presentation PDF failed to hide the text beneath it; Sega Sammy’s official presentation script is the source for the numbers.
What the sales table shows
The table, titled “Full Game: Unit Sales of Major IPs,” appears in SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS’ Management Meeting 2025 presentation script. It reports units, not revenue or profit, and follows 11 named games over six fiscal years: FY2020/3 through FY2025/3. The figures below convert the source’s thousands-of-units figures into millions.

These are the totals presented in the 2025 management-meeting script, not a complete ranking of Sega Sammy’s entire catalog. The table supplies no title-level revenue, profit, budget, sales target, regional split, platform mix, or prices, so unit totals alone cannot establish whether a game met its commercial expectations.
How many copies did Persona 5 Royal and Sonic Frontiers sell?
Persona 5 Royal reached 7.25 million units, the highest total in the table. Sega Sammy says this number includes the remaster released in FY2023/3; the presentation does not break out how many units came from the original release versus the remaster.

Sonic Frontiers reached 4.57 million units. The table shows 3.20 million in FY2023/3, its first listed sales year, followed by additional sales in subsequent years. Those figures illustrate that a cumulative total can keep growing after a game’s initial sales period.
What “six years” means—and what the version notes mean
The fiscal-year labels run from FY2020/3 through FY2025/3. They are the periods shown in Sega Sammy’s table, not six calendar years of sales beginning on a common release date for every game. The presentation also groups certain versions together rather than giving separate totals:
Rank #2
- Persona 5 Royal für PS5 (Deutsche Verpackung)
- Persona 5 Royal includes the remaster released in FY2023/3.
- Shin Megami Tensei V includes Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, released in FY2025/3.
Because the source combines those versions, neither figure should be read as a sales total for only the original release.
Why the figures were described as accidentally shared
Insider Gaming reported on June 21, 2025 that a gray overlay placed over sales information in a public presentation PDF had not made the underlying text inaccessible. Its account describes how the figures became visible; the official scripted presentation is the better source for checking the numbers. Sega Sammy’s investor-relations library lists the Management Meeting 2025 materials, and the deck is dated June 18, 2025.

What Sega Sammy says about long-tail sales
The presentation says that “Certain numbers of units continue to be sold in subsequent years and keep contributing,” using Persona 5 Royal and Sonic Frontiers as examples. It links this pattern to transmedia development and digital sales strategies. That is the company’s explanation of the trend; the sales table itself records units over time but does not independently establish what caused later sales.
