EA listed seven mobile games for an online service shutdown on January 29, 2025. The date has passed. The notice names Apple and Google platforms, but does not specify which features stopped or whether each game can still be played offline.
Which EA games were listed for January 29, 2025?
EA’s A–H service-updates list puts these seven titles under “Online Service Shutdown” and identifies each as available on Apple and Google:

“Apple and Google” is EA’s platform wording; the list does not specify operating-system versions, app-store availability, or how the apps behave after the listed date.
What did the shutdown mean for each game?
The dated entries establish that EA scheduled online service shutdowns, but they do not name the server, mode, or feature affected for any particular title. As a result, the notice alone does not establish that all seven games became entirely unplayable, that their apps were removed from stores, or that every saved item stopped working.

EA’s general shutdown guidance says the effect varies with the game and the services retired. It notes that some games may still be playable offline and that virtual currency or in-game items may remain usable depending on the game and what was shut down. Those general statements do not confirm an outcome for any of these seven titles.
Why does EA retire online services?
EA says older games’ player numbers typically decline until maintaining their online services is no longer feasible. The company’s general explanation says this point is “typically fewer than 1% of all peak online players across all EA titles.” EA does not give a publication year for that figure, and it is not a player-count measurement for these seven games. The explanation is a general rationale, not a title-specific reason for the January 29, 2025 listings.
