Yes—Shaquille O’Neal officially joined Fortnite as DJ Diesel in October 2024. Epic confirmed the collaboration on October 3, with the cosmetics set to arrive in the shop the next day. The official bundle listing now shows a September 18, 2026 purchase deadline, so it does not establish that the items are available today.
Was Shaq really coming to Fortnite?
Yes. The collaboration is confirmed history, not a current rumor: Epic Games France announced Shaquille O’Neal’s arrival on October 3, 2024, and said the items would be available starting October 4. Fortnite also published an official trailer on October 3 promoting Super Shaq and DJ Diesel.
GameSpot reported the story as an incoming collaboration on October 3, before Epic’s confirmation. That earlier report is not needed to establish that the crossover happened. Epic Games France’s announcement and the official Fortnite trailer document it.
Which Shaq outfits and cosmetics were included?
The release centered on two outfit concepts, reflecting different sides of O’Neal’s public persona:

Can you still get the Shaq skin in Fortnite?
The official bundle page displays September 18, 2026 as its purchase deadline. That date has passed as of October 8, 2026, so the page does not support saying the bundle is currently for sale. Item-shop availability can change; a fresh official listing is the reliable way to check whether it returns.

Epic’s announcement attributes a statement to O’Neal saying that after conquering the court and shaking stadiums, it was time to dominate Fortnite. The original statement was published in French, so this is a paraphrase rather than a verbatim English quotation.
