What Eternal Anima is
Eternal Anima is an unreleased, single-player JRPG built around time travel, object-memory reading and turn-based battles that let you anticipate and change enemy actions. Marvelous USA describes a kingdom where hoping for a better future is a capital offense. The protagonist, Wade, travels across different eras while trying to change the conditions that created the present.
The central premise is summarized by Marvelous USA’s line, “To free the present, one must save the past…” The story moves through four lost continents and a false paradise called Urvis Ael, known as Urvis Ael in the Steam description.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Psychometry and inherited abilities
Wade’s Psychometry ability reads memories embedded in physical objects. That makes ordinary items part of the investigation system: an object can reveal information about an earlier event or help connect different points in the timeline. The game also lets Wade inherit classes and abilities, giving character development a mix-and-match structure rather than a single fixed job.
Future Sight in combat
Combat is turn-based, but the advertised hook is that you can preview enemy actions before they happen. Wade’s Future Sight lets you predict those actions and rewrite the flow of a battle. The result is a system focused on planning around the next turn instead of simply selecting the strongest attack available now. Because the game has not launched, the full list of classes, the limits on rewriting actions and the depth of the progression system are not yet established.
Release date and platform availability
The currently announced release platforms are Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam. Marvelous USA’s worldwide announcement gives March 4, 2027 as the launch date. Marvelous Inc.’s corporate schedule repeats those platforms and date for its main announcement but lists March 5, 2027 for the Steam version in its Japanese schedule.
Steam currently displays March 3, 2027 and marks the game as “not yet available.” These entries should be treated as storefront and regional calendar differences, not as proof of three separate launches. A player’s local time zone, the regional Steam schedule and the publisher’s market-specific rollout can make the date appear one day earlier or later.

Which editions are announced?
Marvelous USA has announced physical Standard and Limited Editions. Physical preorders are planned through participating retailers and the publisher’s online store, but the announcement does not establish which retailers will carry each edition in every country.
| Edition | PlayStation 5 | Nintendo Switch 2 | What is included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard physical | $49.99 | $59.99 | Game package; additional contents not stated |
| Limited Edition physical | $79.99 | $89.99 | Game, two-disc soundtrack, nine character art cards with a display stand, and an art book |
The listed dollar amounts are Marvelous USA’s announced physical prices for those platforms in 2026. They are not evidence of final prices in other currencies, taxes, shipping, or retailer-specific charges. The $30 difference between the Standard and Limited Edition is the same on both announced platforms.
What the Limited Edition adds
The Limited Edition includes four identifiable components beyond the game package: a two-disc soundtrack, nine character art cards, a stand for displaying those cards and an art book. The art cards and stand are aimed at collectors, while the soundtrack and art book provide physical memorabilia for players who want material connected to the game’s music and world.

At present, this physical Limited Edition is announced only for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Xbox Series X|S and Steam are confirmed release platforms, but no physical Limited Edition for either has been announced.
Digital editions and pricing
Marvelous USA explicitly deferred digital-edition details to a later announcement. That means final digital prices, digital bonuses, preorder timing and the exact digital package structure are not confirmed. Do not use the physical prices as a substitute for a digital price, and do not assume that a digital deluxe package will contain the same extras as the physical Limited Edition.
Marvelous Inc.’s Japanese schedule lists a ¥7,678 standard-edition MSRP and a ¥8,778 Digital Deluxe Edition MSRP. Those figures are Japanese MSRPs, not a worldwide digital price list, and they do not establish the contents or price of digital versions in North America, Europe or other regions.

The right choice depends less on the premise—which is clearly defined—and more on how much uncertainty you are willing to accept before reviews and final digital information exist.
Preorder the physical Limited Edition if you are a collector
The Limited Edition is the clearest reason to commit before launch. It bundles the game with a two-disc soundtrack, nine art cards, a display stand and an art book, and its announced premium is $30 over the same-platform Standard physical edition. This option suits someone who specifically values those objects and is comfortable confirming local retailer availability when listings go live.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsChoose the Standard physical edition if you want a disc or cartridge without collector extras
The Standard physical edition provides the lower announced entry price on both supported platforms: $49.99 on PlayStation 5 and $59.99 on Nintendo Switch 2. It is the straightforward physical choice for players who prefer owning a packaged copy and do not need the soundtrack, cards or art book.

- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.

Wait for digital details if convenience matters most
Digital buyers do not yet have an official worldwide price, confirmed bonuses or a published preorder schedule. Waiting avoids committing to an unknown package and lets you compare the final digital offering with the physical versions once the publisher releases those details.
Wait for reviews if combat depth is your deciding factor
Psychometry, inherited classes and Future Sight are promising design ideas, but the available descriptions do not establish how broad the class system is, how often time travel changes the story, or how much control Future Sight gives you in difficult encounters. Since Steam has no user reviews yet and the game is unreleased, players who need evidence of balance, pacing or performance should make their purchase after independent reviews are available.
Platform-specific considerations
Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo Switch 2 is one of the two platforms with an announced physical Standard and Limited Edition. The Standard physical price is $59.99 and the Limited Edition price is $89.99 in Marvelous USA’s announcement. Buyers should verify the regional release listing and the format of the package offered in their country before ordering.

PlayStation 5 also has both announced physical editions. Marvelous USA lists $49.99 for Standard and $79.99 for Limited. These are the publisher’s stated physical prices; local taxes, shipping and currency conversion are separate.
Xbox Series X|S
Xbox Series X|S is confirmed as a launch platform, but the available announcement does not list an Xbox physical edition or Limited Edition. Any Xbox purchase decision therefore depends on the digital details that Marvelous USA has not yet published.
Windows PC through Steam
Steam is the confirmed PC storefront. The page lists single-player play, Marvelous Inc. as developer and the three regional publishing entities, but it currently says the game is not available and has no user reviews. Steam’s displayed March 3, 2027 date should be checked against the final regional release notice because the publisher’s dates differ by market.
What to check before placing an order
- Confirm your platform. The physical Limited Edition is currently announced only for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2; Xbox and Steam are confirmed release platforms without announced physical editions.
- Check the local date. Compare the retailer or storefront’s regional date with the publisher’s March 4 worldwide announcement and the differing Steam and Japanese schedule entries.
- Read the edition contents. The announced Limited Edition includes the game, two-disc soundtrack, nine art cards with a stand and an art book. Do not assume digital bonuses or additional physical items.
- Verify the seller and stock. Marvelous USA says participating retailers and its online store will handle physical preorders, but participation and inventory by country are not established in the announcement.
- Decide how much uncertainty is acceptable. If you need final digital pricing, a demo, reviews or performance information, use the wishlist or wait rather than treating a preorder as early access.
What remains unconfirmed
- Worldwide digital prices and the contents of any digital deluxe package outside the Japanese MSRP listing.
- Digital preorder dates, bonuses and storefront-specific promotions.
- An official early-access period or pre-release playable demo.
- Which retailers will stock each physical edition in a particular country.
- A physical Limited Edition for Xbox Series X|S or Steam.
- The exact release-time schedule that explains the March 3, March 4 and March 5 storefront dates.
Until those details are published, the most informed purchase is platform- and preference-dependent: collectors can target the announced physical package, while everyone else has a strong reason to keep the game wishlisted and reassess when the digital terms, retailer listings and reviews are available.
